As with all of the services offered by Leroy Merlin, Enki and its entire team is committed to respecting your privacy and to exercising transparency concerning data processing. We are committed to developing a trusting relationship with you in the long term, especially by guaranteeing the protection of your personal data.
We only collect and process information that allows us to continually adapt and improve the Enki solution to your needs in compliance with the current regulations.
2/ What types of data, for what services?
We use the information at our disposal to offer you the best possible Enki solution experience, such as:
- Creating your account and allowing you to use our solution
- Providing you with customer support and responding to your requests
- Notifying you of updates to the Enki solution
- Allowing us to implement our general terms and conditions of use
- Personalizing your user experience
Login data
This information is necessary to create an Enki account and for the solution to work properly. The first name, last name, and email address information allow you to be authenticated and provide access to Enki Services, to take charge of and respond to your requests. The time zone allows you to adapt the time used for managing scenarios.
You can also enter your city if you want to benefit from the "Sunrise and Sunset" feature in your scenarios.
The data collected allows us to send you information that is essential for the proper function of your solution by notifying you, for example, of the date of the next planned maintenance.
Profile photo and home photo customization information is stored on your device and is not sent to Enki.
Exchanges with customer support
When you contact Enki customer support by phone, email, or through the Enki app, your contact information and your activity in the context of the Enki Service(s) for which you are requesting support are collected.
This information allows the support department to better assist you and properly process your request via usage assistance or problem-solving.
Usage data from your products
For the proper function of Enki services, Enki may be required to collect usage data based on how you use our services, such as the number and type of connected objects, the status of your connected objects, the scenarios configured, the electrical consumption of certain objects (outlet, radiator, etc.).
Enki may perform data analyses on the measurements collected by its products to offer you a personalized and enhanced experience, such as alerting you in the event of abnormal use of your objects or suggesting the most suitable programming for your habits.
Enki does not provide any usage data to third parties, except for products with their own application (Somfy, Philips Hue, Netatmo, etc.). For these products, you agree to Enki accessing your partner account information and transmitting the information necessary to control the products in question. We recommend that you consult the general terms and conditions of use and the privacy policy of each of these partners.
Regarding voice control, Enki allows you to link your account to a Google Home or Alexa account, for example. You then agree to Enki transmitting the information necessary to control the products or scenarios in question (object ID and scenario name).
Application usage data
We receive certain usage data when you use the Enki app. This includes information relating to your interaction with the app, such as how you browse the screens, the time spent, your phone’s operating system, the country from which you are connecting, or possible app crash reports. The analysis of this data makes it possible to improve the services provided in terms of ergonomics, content, stability, and performance, such as the positioning of the different elements on the screen, adding or removing features, or improving the "Tips and Tricks" section.
3/ Data Security
Enki takes your data security very seriously. Enki's computer systems notably have a data encryption system and a software protection device. Physical and electronic backup procedures are implemented in accordance with the French legislation in force relating to personal data protection.
However, Enki does not control the risks linked to how the Internet works and draws your attention to the existence of possible risks regarding occasional data loss or threats to the confidentiality of data passing through this network. The information offered on the Enki Application may be interrupted in cases of force majeure or beyond Enki's control or due to circumstances that are not Enki's responsibility.
It is also important to understand that the security of your data implies that your home Wi-Fi network is secure. It is therefore advisable to set up a strong Wi-Fi password and to change it regularly.
Data hosting
Your personal data is mainly hosted in the European Union.
Some of your personal data is transferred to the United States in compliance with security contract clauses and transfer supervision. Below is an exhaustive list of the applications in question:
- Zendesk: for your discussions with customer support;
- Firebase: for application analysis;
- Crashlytics: for application crash analysis.
Data retention period
The personal data processed by Enki is stored and maintained on secure technical servers in France for the entire duration of the Enki Services and for a maximum period of three (3) years from the last use of the Services provided by Enki.
The electrical consumption data processed by Enki is stored on secure technical servers in France for a maximum period of three (3) years.
In the event that an account is deleted, all personal data is deleted.
4/ Your rights to access and control your data
For any request to exercise your rights, Enki reserves the right to ask you to provide proof of your identity.
Right to access, modify, and transfer data
By connecting to the application, you have access to your personal data. You may exercise your right to rectify your personal data at any time by sending a request to the email address
You may also request a copy of your data at this same email address to verify the accuracy of the information that is stored and/or to update it.
Right to be forgotten
You may exercise your right to be forgotten and ask Enki to delete your personal data at any time, which means requesting that your user account be deleted and that you stop using the objects controlled by Enki only. Enki undertakes to delete your user account and to erase the personal data collected within the timeframes stipulated by law, unless there is a legitimate interest that prevails (resolving litigation, legal reason, etc.).
Enki notifies the user concerned of any deletion of their personal data following their request.

Complaint to a supervisory authority

Our personal data policy relating to minors
The application does not target minors as its audience. However, access to the application is not reserved for adults because it does not present any content that is prohibited for minors.
If a minor creates a user account, the minor's legal guardian will have the possibility of contacting the Enki Support Department to rectify, modify, or delete their information.
5/ Modification and change of control
Change of control
The Personal Data collected by Enki may be transferred to third parties in the event of a change of control of the company, an acquisition, a collective proceeding, or a sale of the company's assets.
Modification of the data policy
In the event of any major changes to the data policy, we will inform you beforehand. You will then have the possibility of consulting the modified policy before deciding whether you want to continue using our solution.
The current Data Policy may be consulted in the "help and tips" section of the Enki app at any time.
