Using a Connected Water Heater

Control Your Water Heater Remotely

The "Control a Connected Water Heater" screen gives you full access to your water heater's features. With it, you can:

  • Turn on or off your water heater remotely.
  • Desired temperature: Allows you to set the desired water temperature (available only in manual and Auto modes).
  • Mode: change the mode of your water heater or execute a heating schedule previously configured in the "Schedules" screen.
    • Auto: The water heater learns your habits and automatically adjusts the water temperature. Note: learning requires a 7-day cycle in auto mode after each exit from this mode or temperature change; the learning period restarts from zero.
    • Boost: For a quick temperature rise (75°C) when you know you will soon need a large amount of hot water. Once the cycle is complete, the water heater automatically returns to the last permanent mode.
    • Boost+: Activates a permanent temperature rise to 75°C (until you change the mode). Warning: staying too long in this mode may result in high electrical consumption.
    • Self clean: Temporary mode that activates a high-temperature anti-legionella cycle (80°C). Once the cycle is complete, the water heater automatically returns to the last permanent mode.
    • Manual: You manually set the desired temperature.
    • Custom schedule: If you select a custom schedule, the water heater will follow the times and temperatures defined in that schedule.
    • Default schedule (Prog mode): If you switch to "Prog" mode directly from the water heater screen, the "Default" schedule will be activated. This schedule cannot be renamed but can be customized.
  • Schedules: Create the schedules used by the scheduled mode. See: Setting Up Schedules for Your Water Heater
  • Heating demand: Indicates if the water heater is currently heating the water.
  • Active power: Displays the power consumption in Watts at a given moment.
  • Measured temperature: Indicates the current water temperature in the water heater.
  • Temperature history: Allows you to view the water temperature changes over different periods (day, week, month, year).
  • Consumption history: Allows you to view the evolution of your water heater's consumption in kWh over different periods (day, week, month, year).
  • History: Shows the dates and times when your water heater changed modes.

Energy Bonus (France only)

  • When enrolling your water heater in the Energy Bonus program, a dedicated schedule is automatically created.
  • This schedule is automatically selected to optimize your water heater's heating periods within the Energy Bonus program.
  • The Auto and Boost+ modes are no longer available while your water heater participates in the program.
  • Modifying the Energy Bonus schedule may reduce the program's associated benefits; we recommend not changing it.

    Energy Bonus Information

  • Current gain: indicates that an Energy Bonus action is currently in progress and until what time it applies to your water heater.
  • Energy Bonus alert: may appear if a mode incompatible with the program was activated directly on the water heater. The app will then offer to revert to the Energy Bonus schedule.

Tips to Save Energy

By following these simple tips, you can reduce your hot water consumption and save on your energy bill:

  • Set the ideal temperature: Avoid setting your water heater temperature too high. 55°C is generally sufficient for comfortable and hygienic use.
  • Schedule off-peak hours: If you have an electricity contract with off-peak hours, program your water heater to operate mainly during those periods using the scheduled mode.
  • Monitor your consumption using the Consumption History.
  • Turn off your water heater with the Turn On or Off function if you will be away for more than 4 days (avoid unplugging it; in off mode it will maintain a minimum frost protection temperature, and you can turn it back on remotely before you return). Before returning, consider running a Self clean mode.
  • If you are enrolled in the Energy Bonus program, be sure to associate your water heater with it so it can participate in the program's actions and allow you to benefit from the associated gains.
