Remotely Controlling Your Water Heater
The "Connected Water Heater Control" screen gives you complete access to your water heater's features. With it, you can:
- Turn on or off your water heater remotely.
- Desired temperature: Set your desired water temperature (only available in manual and Auto modes).
-
Mode: Change your water heater's mode or run a heating schedule previously configured on the "Schedules" screen.
- Auto: The water heater learns from your habits and automatically adjusts the water temperature. Caution: Learning requires a 7-day cycle in auto mode. After each exit from this mode, or temperature change, the learning period restarts from 0.
- Boost: For a rapid temperature increase (75°C), when you know you'll soon need a large amount of hot water. Once the cycle is complete, the water heater automatically returns to the last permanent mode.
- Boost +: Activates a permanent temperature increase to 75°C (until you change modes). Caution: Staying in this mode for too long can lead to high electricity consumption.
- Self clean: Temporary mode that activates a high-temperature (80°C) anti-legionella cycle. Once the cycle is complete, the water heater automatically returns to the last permanent mode.
- Manual: Manually set your desired temperature.
- Custom Schedule: If you select a custom schedule, the water heater will follow the times and temperatures defined in that schedule.
- Default Schedule (Prog mode): If you switch to "Prog" mode directly from the water heater screen, the "Default" schedule will be activated. This schedule cannot be renamed, but it can be customized.
- Schedules: Create the schedules used by the scheduled mode. See: Setting schedules for your water heater
- Heating on demand: Indicates if the water heater is currently heating the water.
- Active power: Displays the power consumed in Watts at any given time.
- Recorded temperature: Indicates the current water temperature in the water heater.
- Temperature history: Allows you to view the evolution of the water temperature over different periods (day, week, month, year).
- Consumption history: Allows you to view the evolution of your water heater's consumption in kWh over different periods (day, week, month, year).
- History: Shows the dates and times when your water heater changed modes.
Tips for Saving Energy
By following these tips, you can reduce your hot water consumption and save money on your energy bill:
- Set the ideal temperature: Avoid setting your water heater temperature too high. 55°C is usually sufficient for comfortable and hygienic use.
- Program off-peak hours: If you have an electricity contract with off-peak hours, program your water heater to run mainly during these periods, using the scheduled mode.
- Monitor your consumption using the Consumption history.
- Turn off your water heater using the Turn on or off function if you are away for more than 4 days (avoid unplugging it electrically; in off mode, it will maintain a minimum frost-proof temperature, allowing you to turn it back on remotely before returning). Before returning, remember to run a Self clean mode.
