How to Update the Software on Your iPhone

Before You Start the Update

To ensure the update goes smoothly, we recommend checking the following points:

  • Stable and fast internet connection: Make sure you have a good internet connection to download the update.
  • Charge your iPhone: Ensure your iPhone is charged to at least 50%, or ideally, plug it into a power source during the update.
  • Check storage space: Updates require some free space. If your iPhone is low on space, you may need to free up room by deleting unnecessary apps or files.

Update Your iPhone

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General, then tap “Software Update.”

The current installed iOS version is displayed, along with the availability of an update.

  3. If an update is available, tap “Download and Install,” then follow the on-screen instructions.
