What is a schedule:

Your device's schedule is based on a time-based event that automatically triggers the selected actions, without manual intervention.

This mechanism makes the connected device autonomous, carrying out the right action at the right time, without repeated instructions. This is its sense of “when.”

You can schedule a specific state at a given time and on a given day, then define another state at the end, providing flexible management according to your needs.

Why create a schedule:

Some devices can operate automatically through scenarios or the schedules in the heating menu, but the scheduling feature provides specific and complementary management.

Individual scheduling is ideal for automating a single device simply and quickly, unlike scenarios and schedules, which can manage multiple devices.

It also lets you create several separate schedules that can easily be enabled or disabled using switches, providing great flexibility for quickly adapting settings to your needs.

How to create a schedule:

1 - Open the Enki app by clicking its “” icon.

2 - In the Home tab, select the relevant device to access its control page.

3 - To create a schedule, tap “Add” at the bottom of the “Add a schedule” tile.

4 - Start by naming your schedule so that you can easily identify it.

It is essential to choose a clear name for your schedule so that you can quickly identify its function during future reviews.

5 - To set the start time, click the “Start time” tile. You can choose from three options:

Flèche Enki 20px.png Time: Select a fixed time for a precise start, without influence from natural conditions.

Flèche Enki 20px.png Dawn: Schedule the start at dawn, with a delay before or after, to adapt to the natural morning light.

Flèche Enki 20px.png Dusk: Start the schedule at dusk, adjusting the time before or after, which is ideal for following seasonal variations in daylight.
 
In this example, the start time is set to dusk, with the start scheduled 1 hour earlier. The schedule therefore starts one hour before sunset to anticipate events during this period.

⚠ A schedule should not be confused with a scenario. It allows only one start time, setting a specific time for the action.

To perform the same action at multiple times, create several separate schedules, each with its own start time, ensuring better organization.

6 - Set the initial state of your device by clicking the “Device state” tile. A new page will open with several possible states for easily configuring its behavior according to your needs:

  • Function:

    Danger.png Both can be activated at the same time.
  • State:
    Flèche Enki 20px.png On: Turns the device function on

For our Inspire connected fan, we select the “Light” function with the state set to “On.”

Without activating the end of the schedule, the action is triggered one hour before sunset. This turns on the light of our connected fan.

Configure the end of a schedule:

Activating the end of a schedule is optional. If you do not activate it, the schedule will run only at the start time with the defined state.

 7 - To set an end for your schedule, first activate the switch on the “Activate an end” tile. Its appearance will change from to and it will display the settings for customizing the end of your scenario.

8 - To set the end time, click the “End time” tile. You can choose from three options:

In this example, the schedule always ends at 11:30 PM, ensuring a fixed and regular end time.

9 - Determine the final state of your device by clicking the “Device state” tile. A new page will open with several options for configuring the final behavior according to your needs:

  • Function:

  • State:

For our Inspire connected fan, we selected the “Light” and “Fan” functions with the state set to “Off.”

The schedule will turn on the light one hour before sunset, then turn off the light and fan at 11:30 PM.

Set the operating days:

10 - Scroll down to the Recurrence section to access the scheduling options by day.

By default, every day is selected, so the schedule will apply every day unless changed.

Leave the selection as is if you want a daily schedule. Otherwise, click the days you want to exclude to deselect them.

This lets you customize the activation days according to your needs.
 
For our example, we select Saturday and Sunday to disable them, making the schedule active only from Monday through Friday. The defined rules therefore will not apply on weekends, targeting only business days.

11 - Finally, save the configured schedule.

Click the “Save” button at the bottom on Android, or the check mark “✔” in the upper-right corner on iOS, to confirm your changes.

After saving, you will be redirected to the control page where the schedules are visible, and you can view them or create new ones.

The schedule turns on the light of the Inspire connected fan one hour before sunset.

It ends at 11:30 PM, turning off the light and fan, Monday through Friday.

Things to know about schedules:

  • Do I need to set an end time for the schedule?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png No, the end time is optional. You can schedule only a start to change the state of a device at a specific time. 

  • Can I create multiple schedules?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, you can create multiple schedules. Follow the instructions to add a new one.

 To create a new schedule, click the “+” button to the right of your current schedules.

  • Can I split my schedule in two?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, delete the end of the current schedule, then create a new one with the desired start, time, and state. 

  • Is there a limit to the number of schedules per device?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png No, you can create as many schedules as you want. 

  • What mistakes should I avoid when scheduling?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png Avoid overlapping times and leave at least one minute between schedules. Also check the state of the devices by changing their state at the beginning and end. 

  • How can I disable a schedule without deleting it?

    A switch lets you easily enable or disable your schedule. Select it, then click the switch at the bottom to confirm:

    Flèche Enki 20px.png When the switch is enabled, the schedule runs normally.

    Flèche Enki 20px.png When it is disabled, the schedule is suspended without being deleted, which is ideal for a pause.
     

  • Why doesn't my schedule start even though I am within the scheduled time?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png The schedule starts only at the exact scheduled time. If that time has passed, it will not start, even if you are still within the time range. For example, at 2:05 PM, a schedule scheduled from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM will not start.

  • Why doesn't my device's state change after the end of a schedule that started late?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png If the schedule did not start because the start time had passed, it cannot end. The state changes only at the end of a schedule that actually started.

  • If my device is already in the starting state, will it be set to the ending state?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, as soon as the schedule starts, the device is set to the starting state—even if it is already in that state—and then to the ending state at the end, except in the event of a temporary override.

  • If I change my device's state during the schedule, will it still switch to the ending state?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, regardless of the change, the ending state will be applied, except in the event of a temporary override.

  • My device was offline at the beginning or end. Will it be set to the expected state after reconnecting?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png No, the device must be online when the command is sent. Otherwise, the data is lost and the state does not change.

  • Can schedules be used with other functions, such as scenarios or schedules?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png It is not recommended to use schedules and heating schedules simultaneously to avoid conflicts. However, schedules and scenarios can coexist if their times do not conflict.

  • Does the execution time depend on my phone's time?
    Flèche Enki 20px.png No, it is based on the platform's time according to the country selected when the home was created (for example, Paris time for France).
