How do I check whether an update is available?

If an update is available for your Wi-Fi device, the "Update" option appears below the firmware version, as shown opposite.

Start by identifying your device type by checking which entry you added it under in the app.

Open the Enki app and go to the main "Home" screen. Then:

01 - Select your Wi-Fi device's tile to access its control page.

02 - Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open the settings.

03 - In the "Device information" section, you will see the model of your Wi-Fi device, corresponding to the selected entry.

05 - Identify your Wi-Fi device by checking the brand and model in your app, then find the corresponding software version.

After identifying your device's software version, compare it with the one indicated in our FAQ. To do this:

06 - Select your Wi-Fi device's tile to access its control page.

07 - Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open the settings.

08 - At the bottom of the settings, under "Advanced settings," check the software version and compare it with the one in the FAQ.

Make sure that your device is powered on and controllable through the Enki app:

01 - From "Home," select the device's tile.

02 - Tap "⏻" to change its status. The device should respond as follows:

Fan off	Fan on
Light off	Light on

03 - On the control page, click the gear-shaped icon in the upper-right corner.

04 - Select "" next to the "Update" tile.

05 - Confirm the update by clicking "Yes" after the message appears: "An update is available. Would you like to start it? The device will be unavailable during the update."

06 - The update starts, with the text "Updating..." below "Update."

It is important to note that when you return to the main "Home" menu, the message "Updating" appears below your device's name. 

This indicates that the update is in progress. Wait until it is complete to fully use your Wi-Fi device and its new features.

⚠ It is crucial never to turn off your Wi-Fi device during an update, as this could seriously damage it or even make it unusable.

The firmware update requires continuous power to ensure correct installation and optimal operation.

Also make sure that you have a stable Internet connection on your router throughout the update, as any interruption may cause errors and block the device.

During the update of your Wi-Fi device, it will behave as follows:

• Depending on whether your Wi-Fi device was on or off before the update,
  it will remain in the same state.

After the update, your Wi-Fi device will restart and behave as follows:

• Depending on whether your Wi-Fi device was on or off before the update,
  it will remain in that state.

After your Wi-Fi device restarts, it will automatically reconnect and display the following status:

• Depending on whether your Wi-Fi device was on or off before the update,
  it will remain in that state.

08 - Finally, test your Wi-Fi device by turning it on or off in the app. It should respond as follows:

How do I know if my Wi-Fi device is offline?

A small " ! " appears on the Wi-Fi device's tile in the "Home" menu, indicating that it is disconnected from our platform.

03 - Once reconnected to your Wi-Fi network and our platform, your Wi-Fi device will check for the software update.

During the download, the message "Updating" will appear on the device's tile.

Please wait while the update downloads.
