How can I check if my Wi-Fi device is up to date?

From your Wi-Fi device’s settings page.

Open the Enki app and go to the "Home" screen. Follow these steps:

01 - Select the tile of your Wi-Fi device to open its control page.

02 - Click the gear icon at the top right to access settings.

03 - At the bottom of the settings, under "Advanced settings", check the software version of the device.

How to check if an update is available?

If an update is available for your Wi-Fi device, the "Update" option will appear below the firmware version, as shown here.

Start by identifying your device type by checking which entry you added it under in the app.

Open the Enki app and go to the main "Home" screen. Then:

01 - Select the tile of your Wi-Fi device to access its control page.

02 - Click the gear icon at the top right to open settings.

03 - In the "Device information" section, you will see the model of your Wi-Fi device, corresponding to the selected entry.

Please carefully note the model displayed in the app to perform a detailed search in our FAQ dedicated to the latest software version. This helps provide precise answers and verify the most recent software version for your Wi-Fi device.

05 - Identify your Wi-Fi device by verifying the brand and model in your app, then find the corresponding software version.

After identifying your device’s software version, compare it with the one indicated in our FAQ. To do this:

How do I update my Wi-Fi device?

Make sure your device is powered and controllable via the Enki app:

01 - From "Home", select the device tile.

02 - Tap "" to change its state. The device should respond as follows:

03 - On the control page, click the gear icon at the top right.

04 - Select "Logo mettre à jour.png" next to the "Update" tile.

05 - Confirm the update by clicking "Yes" after the message appears: "An update is available, do you want to start it? The device will be unavailable during the update."

06 - The update starts, with the text "Update in progress..." shown under "Update".

It is important to note that when returning to the main "Home" menu, the message "Update in progress" appears under your device’s name.

This indicates the update is ongoing. Please wait until it finishes to fully use your Wi-Fi device and its new features.

It is crucial to never turn off your Wi-Fi device during an update, as this could severely damage it or even render it unusable.

Firmware updates require continuous power to ensure proper installation and optimal functioning.

Also, make sure you have a stable Internet connection on your router throughout the update, as any interruption can cause errors and block the device.

During the update, your Wi-Fi device will behave as follows:

  • Depending on whether your Wi-Fi device was on or off before the update,

After the update, your Wi-Fi device will restart and respond as follows:

  • Depending on whether your Wi-Fi device was on or off before the update,

After restarting, your Wi-Fi device will lose connection to the internet router and platform. It will therefore appear as disconnected, with a " ! " displayed on its tile in the "Home" menu to indicate it is offline.

08 - Finally, test your Wi-Fi device by turning it on or off in the app. It should respond as follows:

Perform a power cycle of the Wi-Fi device.

01 - Unplug your Wi-Fi device from its power source.

How do I know if my Wi-Fi device is offline?

A small " ! " appears on the Wi-Fi device tile in the "Home" menu, indicating it is disconnected from our platform.

02 - Plug your Wi-Fi device back in and wait for it to reconnect to your network.

During the download, the message "Update in progress" will appear on the device tile.
