How does grouped control of my Inspire connected fan work?

Grouped device control allows you to manage multiple connected devices with a single action, making management easier and improving user comfort. Here is an example comparing individual control and group control:

Within a group, you can combine different brands or models of similar devices. However, devices without the required features will not respond to specific commands.

 

Procedure for creating a group of devices:

To create a group of devices in the Enki app, follow these steps:

01 - Click the "+" button on the right side of the screen.

02 - Choose "Create a group" from the menu.

03 - In the "Create a group" menu, select the type of device to group:

  • Bulbs, plugs, lighting fixtures.
  • Garages, gates, shutters.
  • Fans.

04 - After choosing the device type, check those you want to group.

  • : Device not selected, not included in the group nor controllable via it.
  • : Device selected, included and controllable within the group.

05 - Click "Next".

06 - Choose whether devices in the group should be hidden in the "Home" menu. This option can be changed later.

  • Hide group devices: The group appears on the home screen, but individual devices do not, for clarity.
  • Keep devices visible: Devices and group remain visible for quick access, grouped or individual.

How to show your hidden devices again?

Go to the group settings to enable device visibility, via "Organize my home" in the settings icon on the "Home" screen, or delete the group to make the devices visible.

07 - Click on "Group name" to display the keyboard.

08 - Enter the name of your group.

09 - Click the "✔" at the bottom right to confirm and close the keyboard.

10 - Click the circle at the end of the line of the room where you want to place your group:

  • : Room not selected.
  • : Room selected.
It is essential to clearly name your group to easily identify its function and find it on the home page.

11 - Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen to save your device group.

12 - You will return to the "Home" screen with two cases:

  • Visible devices: The group and devices are visible in the chosen room.
  • Invisible devices: The group appears, but the devices are not visible, in the selected room.

On the home page, you can:

  1. Control your group of devices:

    - Grayed-out group : The fan lights are off
    - Yellow group : The fan lights are on
  2. View the status feedback of your group:

To access advanced options on your group’s "Home" page, press and hold the tile.

A dropdown menu will appear with the following options:

  1. Rename: Change the group name
  2. Move to...: Change the room associated with the group.
  3. Reorder...: Change the group's position within the room.
  4. Settings: Directly access the group settings.

To manage your group of devices, tap briefly on the corresponding tile on the Enki app "Home" screen.

You will then be directed to the management page, where you can use the main functions of your group of devices:

  1. Light: Turn the fan lights on or off.
  2. Brightness: Adjust the light intensity.
  3. White: Change the white color temperature.
  4. Fan: Turn the fan on or off.
  5. Fan mode: Choose between "Breeze" or "Manual."
  6. Fan speed: Adjust the fan speed.
  7. Scheduling: Set time slots to automate actions.

To control your group of devices on the control screen, you can:

  1. Tap "On" or "Off": Activate or deactivate the "Light" or the "Fan".
  2. Slide the sliders: Adjust "Brightness," "White" temperature, and "Fan speed".
  3. Tap "Breeze" or "Manual": Choose the ventilation mode:

To access your group of devices’ settings, click the gear icon at the top right of the control page.

You will be redirected to the settings page in the Enki app, where you can:

  1. Name: View and change the group name.
  2. Room: View and change the room associated with the group.
  3. Associated devices: View, add, or remove devices from the group.
  4. 4. Hide devices: You can hide devices in your "Home" menu if they are part of a group, or make them visible if they were hidden.
  5. 5. Delete: This option deletes the device group from the app and restores visibility to hidden devices.
