Thanks to this feature, you will be able to control your device simultaneously with one or more other devices, offering you smoother and more coordinated management of your equipment. I will guide you step by step so you can make the most of this option and optimize your user experience." |
Introduction:
| "In this introductory section, I will explain in detail what grouped device control is in your home automation app, so you can better understand how it works and its benefits. |

Grouped device control consists of simultaneously controlling multiple connected devices or elements in your home, allowing you to easily manage several devices with a single action. This feature is especially useful to enhance your comfort when using the app. Let's take an example for your device, comparing individual control versus grouped control with multiple devices: | ||
|
"Did you know? Within your group, it is possible to combine different brands of devices of the same type, as well as devices of the same brand with different capabilities. Note that if you include devices with different capabilities, those without the necessary features to execute specific commands will not respond to those instructions." |

How to control a group of devices:
| "I will explain in detail how to use a group of devices in your Enki app. By grouping multiple devices together, you can simplify their control. Moreover, this saves time by applying actions or changes to a set of devices simultaneously, rather than having to manage each device individually." |

| "Congratulations, you now have the essential skills to create a device group and control it directly via the Enki app." |
What you should know about your device:
-
Can I include my group in a scenario?
No. The group can only be used directly via the "Home" main menu of your Enki app.
-
Can I control my group by voice?
No, groups are not compatible with voice assistants; you can only control devices individually. However, it is possible to create a group of devices directly in your voice assistant's app to control your devices as a group via voice command.
-
Can I set a schedule for my device group?
It depends on the device group. Depending on the group, a scheduling function may be offered on the control page. Please check this page to see if the "Scheduling" tile is present.
-
Can I rename a group?
Yes, you can rename a group via the settings page of your device group by clicking on "Name."
-
Is it possible to add or remove devices after the group is created?
Yes, you can add or remove devices within a group by accessing the settings page of your device group, via the device list.
-
Can I delete a group without deleting my devices?
Yes, deleting a group does not delete the devices. Only grouped control access is removed. Your devices remain present and can still be controlled individually.
-
How do I make my devices visible or invisible when my group is created?
You need to access the settings page of your device group and, via the "Hide devices" toggle, choose whether devices should be hidden or not. There are also other methods to perform this operation.
|
Another method to show or hide your invisible devices:
|
-
My devices are invisible, what happens if I delete my group?
Deleting your group will remove it from your "Home" main screen, and devices that were invisible because of their association with this group will become visible again.
-
What is the maximum number of devices I can include in a group?
There is no limit to the number of devices that can be included in a group. However, depending on your environment, the more devices you control simultaneously, the more the signal may be disrupted. The environment remains an important factor in individual control, and even more so in grouped control.
-
Does the group work if my Enki box is offline?
If the devices in your group are connected via Wi-Fi, they will continue to operate. However, devices linked to your Enki box will no longer be controllable.
-
Can I create a group including different types of devices (e.g., shutters and lights)?
Yes and no. You can combine connected lights and plugs, or shutters, gates, and garages, as these products belong to the same creation category. However, it is not possible to mix bulbs and shutters, for example.
-
Why is a device in my group no longer responding?
If a device no longer responds, it means either the signal is not reaching it or the device is unreachable. Try individual control to check its operation. If individual control works, the signal may be disrupted during grouped control due to your environment and the number of devices controlled, as the more devices you control simultaneously, the more the signal may be disturbed. If individual control fails, please check the device (power, connection, etc.).
-
Can I duplicate a group to create a similar one?
No, you can create as many groups as you want, but duplication or copy-paste of a group is not supported. However, you can manually create a similar group.
-
I have different devices with different capabilities (e.g., an RGB bulb and a simple plug) in a group; how does the group behave?
The page displayed for your group will correspond to the highest capability. In this example, the RGB bulb has the most advanced capability, so all its options will be available, unlike the plug which only offers on/off functions. However, when you execute commands not supported by the plug, it will not respond.
