The conditions for executing a scenario are elements that allow you to make your scenarios more comprehensive by restricting their execution to specific conditions.
Unlike triggers, which activate the scenario if only one of them becomes active (for scenarios with multiple triggers), all the conditions must be met before the scenario can be triggered.
Exception: If all the conditions contain multiple time periods, the scenario will be authorized to trigger in each of the mentioned intervals.
There are 4 types of conditions:
- Period: the scenario will only trigger during the period(s) defined here. This period can include specific start and end times or periods linked to sunrise (dawn) or sunset (twilight).
- Periods can take place on a single day or extend until the next day depending on the chosen start and end times/moments (the end of the period will extend into the next day).
-
Example:
- Period on the same day:
- From 08:00 to 17:30
- From 1 hour after sunrise (dawn) to 02:00 before sunset (twilight)
- Period on a sliding day (The end of this period will be positioned the day after the start of the period):
- From 20:00 until 00:30 before sunrise (dawn).
- From sunset (twilight) until sunrise (dawn).
- From 20:30 to 7:30
-
Example:
-
A weekly recurrence: The scenario will only execute between the defined hours and on the selected days of the week.
-
Example:
- From Monday to Friday
- On Monday and Thursday
- On the weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
-
Example:
- Example: When you are away on business, when your outdoor motion detector is activated (trigger), your light bulb will turn on, then after a 20-second delay, it will turn off (3 successive actions: The light bulb turns on, 20-second delay, then the light bulb turns off) only during the selected periods (conditions)
- Security: The scenario will only trigger if a scenario mode is activated (Total, partial, or deactivated).
- Example: When your outdoor motion detector is activated (trigger), your light bulb will turn on, then after a 20-second delay, it will turn off (3 successive actions: The light bulb turns on, 20-second delay, then the light bulb turns off) only if your security is in total mode (condition).
- If another security mode is activated (example: Partial), the scenario will not trigger and the light bulb will remain off if movement is detected.
- Object status: The scenario will only trigger if an object is in a defined state (on, off, temperature or humidity higher than a value, etc.).
- Example: When I activate my security in total mode (trigger), if my opening detector detects that a window is open (condition), then a notification is sent informing me of this oversight (action).
- Heating: Coming soon
It is possible to add several conditions of the same type or different types for the same scenario.
- Example: When your outdoor motion detector is activated (trigger), your light bulb will turn on, then after a 20-second delay, it will turn off (3 successive actions: The light bulb turns on, 20-second delay, then the light bulb turns off) if and only if your security is in total mode (object status condition) AND during the periods selected in the period condition: Between 23:00 and 7:30 (D+1) from Monday to Friday (period 1) OR between 12:30 and 14:00 on Sunday (period 2).
