In the Enki app’s “Time Period” screen, you have the option to further customize when your scenes can run by adding conditions based on:
-
A start and end time. The scene will only be able to run between the set times. This time period can include specific start and end times or times that are relative to sunrise (dawn) or sunset (dusk). Periods can occur all within the same day, or they can span into the next day, depending on the start/end times (end time will occur the following day).
-
Example:
- Time period within the same day:
- 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
- 1 hour after sunrise (dawn) to 2:00 hours before sunset (dusk)
- Time period over a rolling day (The end of this time period will occur the day after the start of the time period):
- 8:00 pm to 12:30 am before sunrise (dawn).
- Sunset (dusk) to sunrise (dawn).
- 8:30 pm to 7:30 am
-
Example:
-
A weekly recurrence. The scene will only be able to run between the set times on the selected days of the week.
-
Example:
- Monday through Friday
- Monday and Thursday
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
-

This enables you to further tailor your scene execution to your rhythms of life, making them active only when it is most relevant to you. For example, a lighting scene may only be scheduled to activate during the hours when the house is occupied.
Here's how to refine when your scenes activate:
Selecting a Time Period.
Select a start and end time, and choose whether these are specific times, relative to sunrise (dawn), or relative to sunset (dusk).
Indicate the days of week by tapping the green circles.
The scene will then only run during the specified times on the selected days.
Note
The time conditions you define here serve to restrict when a scene is eligible to run. They are separate from the specific trigger times that determine when a scene starts and stops once activated.
Multiple time conditions can be defined for a scene, and the scene will only be eligible to run when all of the time conditions are met.
