“Cache” or “buffer” is a short-term memory, a space where Android stores data from your apps so that it’s immediately available when you need it.
If there’s too much data saved, storage space on your device could become insufficient. When your phone has insufficient space, runs slowly, or certain features/apps are not responding properly, clearing the cache and app data could help.
Clearing your cache can then force the app to retrieve the latest items.
Your account and paired objects WILL NOT be deleted when you clear the cache and delete data.
It is a good idea to clear cache and delete data when:
- The app crashes and closes on its own;
- The app tells you that it does not have access to the internet when you start it;
- When you enter your credentials, the app loads and goes back to the page to enter your credentials without any message;
- You are not receiving notifications from the app;
- The objects and/or the ENKI box are indicated as offline while the indicator lights on the latter indicate otherwise;
- You cannot pair your object, the app tells you immediately that the object is not detected even though the search has just started;
- The object is paired, but it is not visible on your account;
- A brick is missing (my heating, my security, my consumption) even though I have an object that is compatible with these bricks;
- The feedback from my objects (with the compatible function) is not visible or is not displayed correctly.
