What are modes and schedules?

This article explains what modes and schedules are in the “Heating” menu of the Enki app.

A mode is a configuration of your heating devices adapted to a given situation. It groups together devices associated with a temperature, a pilot wire command, or a defined state. Example of a mode:

Home Living room: 20°C Bathroom: 18°C Bedroom: 16°C

Away Living room: 18°C Bathroom: 18°C Bedroom: 16°C

Night Living room: 18°C Bathroom: 18°C Bedroom: 18°C

To access the modes menu, view, edit, or add modes, click " Manage my modes and schedules".

This menu displays the available modes, each corresponding to a defined behavior for your heating devices.

Each mode has a unique color and logo, visible to the left of its tile, making it easy to identify visually in your schedule.

To create a new mode, follow these simple steps:

Click "+ Add a mode" below the existing modes to get started.

Give your mode a clear and descriptive name in the "Name" field.

By default, all heating devices are included, indicated by a slider in the position. If you want to exclude a device, switch the slider to .

Adjust each device according to your needs: temperature, pilot wire setpoint, or ON/OFF state.

Finally, click "✓" in the top right (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom of the screen (Android) to save your mode.

What happens if my device is excluded from the mode?

Excluded devices receive no commands and remain in their current state, without any changes or updates.

By default, any newly paired heating device is excluded from modes. Allow it and assign it a setpoint.

To edit a mode, click it to access the heating devices in the home 🏠.

You can select, deselect, and adjust the temperature, pilot wire command, or state of each device.

Finally, click "✓" in the top right (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom (Android) to save.

To change modes, click the 3 dots "⁝" next to the current mode, then click "Change mode".

Choose the desired mode by selecting the circle on the right, then click "✓" in the top right (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom (Android).

This lets you quickly and easily switch to another mode without complications.

To change modes, click "Change" on the "Control type" tile, then click "Change" next to "Selected mode" on the "Manual" tile.

This lets you quickly and easily switch to another mode without complications.

You can modify the setpoints for your modes directly on the fly for the mode currently running. To do this: 

1. click the 3 dots "⁝" next to the current mode, then click "Edit this mode".
2. Adjust the setpoints for your current mode
3. Click "✓" in the top right (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom (Android).

To access the schedules menu, view, edit, or add schedules, click " Manage my modes and schedules".

In the schedules menu, find all your created schedules to edit them or create new ones.

To create a new schedule, follow these simple steps:

Click "+ Add a schedule" below the existing schedules to get started.

Give your schedule a clear and descriptive name in the "Name" field.

Finally, click "✓" in the top right (iOS)  or "Save" at the bottom of the screen (Android) to save your schedule.

To edit a schedule, click it. To change a specific day, click the desired day to access the editing screen.

On this screen, you can add or edit heating modes to precisely customize how the heating operates in the home 🏠 according to your needs.

You can also apply this configuration to other days by copying the schedule to save time and ensure consistent heating.

Click "✓" in the top right (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom (Android) to save your new schedule configuration.

To change schedules, click the 3 dots "⁝" next to the current schedule, then click "Change schedule".

This method makes it easier to quickly adapt the schedule to your needs, ensuring flexible management of your situations.

It is important to note that only one schedule can be active at a time, because schedules control the heating of the entire home 🏠. Multiple schedules cannot run simultaneously.

⚠ The first schedule in the list is essential for the system to function properly and cannot be deleted. It ensures the stability and continuity of operations.

However, you can change its name and fully customize this schedule to adapt it to your needs.

To change schedules, click "Change" on the "Control type" tile, then click "Change" next to "Selected schedule" on the "Schedule" tile.

Choose the desired schedule by selecting the circle on the right, then click "✓" in the top right (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom (Android). Repeat the same operation a second time.
