"When you try to add a Wi-Fi device to your Wi-Fi ecosystem, and the device fails to connect, there can be three major reasons:

  • The Wi-Fi password you entered is incorrect.

  • The format of the Wi-Fi password used is not supported by the Wi-Fi device.

  • The communication quality on the local Wi-Fi network is impaired"

To start, it is important to respect certain prerequisites to ensure that your Wi-Fi device connects correctly to your internet access point. Here is what must be respected:

  1. Please unplug any device that could emit a Wi-Fi network available for a connection point, such as Wi-Fi repeaters for example. Only your internet box should be the sole transmitter of the internet access point during the pairing of your device and the various tests.

  2. Your Wi-Fi password must be composed only of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. Special characters are not supported. Furthermore, punctuation marks, dashes, accents, cedillas, etc., must not be present in a Wi-Fi password.

"Indeed, some products are not capable of supporting and translating these types of characters. Let's give an example:

    •
      • An invalid Wi-Fi password: Dn48Jk!9-F2@mé

      • A valid Wi-Fi password: Dn48JkL9xF2ame"

  3. The security encryption must be WPA2. Indeed, there are different types of encryption for your Wi-Fi network; WEP, WPA, and WPA/WPA2 encryptions should be avoided. It is important that your security encryption for your Wi-Fi network is WPA2. WEP and WPA3 are not compatible with our devices. Also, WPA and WPA/WPA2 constitute a security flaw, which causes malfunctioning of our devices.
