Introduction:

To check whether your internet access point is preventing your Wi-Fi device from pairing, perform a cross-test. You will need a second phone or a second tablet. Identify the 2.4 GHz SSID(1) and password(3) for your primary internet access point(6), then unplug it. Turn on hotspot sharing(4) (router mode(5)) on the second phone, using the same SSID and password as your primary internet access point. (Warning: Make sure the broadcast uses the 2.4 GHz band.) Reset your Wi-Fi device, then install it using the other phone or tablet with the Enki app open. |

(1) SSID: Name of your Wi-Fi network. Several networks may be broadcast by your internet access point. (2) 2.4 GHz: Wi-Fi broadcast frequency. Each SSID broadcasts one or more frequencies (2.4, 5, 6, or 7 GHz). We recommend using only one frequency per SSID. (3) Password: Security key for your router, often shown on a sticker or screen. (4) Hotspot sharing: A phone feature that turns the phone into a router through mobile data (4G/5G), allowing other devices to connect to Wi-Fi. (5) Router: Device that broadcasts internet access, usually your internet gateway. (6) Primary internet access point: Router that receives the connection from the provider and broadcasts it throughout the home. |

| ⚠ If you are using an Android phone, the appearance and access paths may vary depending on the brand and model because of manufacturer customizations. However, the procedure remains similar. If you encounter any issues, contact your phone brand's technical support. |

| ⚠ On iOS, it is essential to turn on the "Maximize Compatibility" toggle because the iPhone broadcasts WPA2/WPA3 Wi-Fi by default, which is not compatible with our Wi-Fi devices. Turning on this toggle switches the encryption to WPA2, ensuring the connection. |

| Once these steps are complete, if your settings are correct and identical to those of your internet gateway, your other phone or tablet will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network as if it were your gateway. You do not need to do anything. |

If your phone does not reconnect automatically, go to its Wi-Fi settings and connect to your mobile access point's network. If a password is requested, this means that the information entered does not match the information for the internet gateway. Restart the gateway, check the Wi-Fi information, and then repeat the steps. |

After resetting, you can pair the device again. 1 - Open the Enki app by tapping the " 2 - Click " 3 - Select "Add a device". 4 - Choose the type, 5 - then the brand, 6 - and finally the device model. 7 - Follow the instructions to complete the installation. |
Notes:
Once the device is paired, turn off hotspot sharing and turn your primary access point back on. The device will automatically reconnect using the same SSID and password. |
