This article explains how to perform a manual reset of your Schneider 16A built-in socket to restore it to the default factory settings.
When to Perform a Reset?
You should perform a reset in the following cases:
- The socket no longer responds to commands
- Network connection issues
- Before transferring the device to another user
After a technical malfunction
Reset Procedure
Step 1: Locate the Reset Button
The reset button is located on the front face of the socket.
Step 2: Perform the Reset Sequence
- Briefly press the reset button 3 times (each press should last less than 0.5 seconds)
- Then hold the button down for more than 10 seconds
- After 10 seconds, the LED starts blinking red
Release the button as soon as the LED blinks red
Step 3: Verify the Reset Success
- The LED stops blinking
- The device restarts automatically
- The LED then blinks green for a few seconds
Finally, the LED turns solid amber, indicating that the socket is ready for a new setup

Data erased during the reset:
- All configuration data
- User data
- Network settings
After the reset, you will need to fully reconfigure your socket as you did during the initial installation.
