Introduction
This article provides detailed steps to perform a factory reset of the NOUS connected devices A1Z and D3Z. A reset is often necessary to resolve persistent connectivity issues, remove previous configurations, or prepare the device for a new user.
⚠️ Warning: The reset will erase all data, configurations, and associations of the device. The device will need to be reconfigured from scratch after this procedure.
1. Resetting the NOUS A1Z Plug
The NOUS A1Z plug requires a specific physical action to initiate the reset.
Reset Procedure
Locate the Reset Button: On the A1Z device, find the small physical reset button (located on the plug).
Power On: Make sure the device is powered on.
Press and Hold: Press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds.
Observe the LED Indicator: Release the button when you see the LED indicator blinking rapidly or lighting steadily for a few seconds, then turning off.
Verification: The device is now reset and ready to be configured or paired again.
2. Resetting the NOUS D3Z Module
The NOUS D3Z module is another type of device that requires careful attention during the reset procedure as it is designed to be installed in an electrical panel.
Reset Procedure
Power On: Ensure the D3Z device is properly powered.
Locate the Main Button: Identify the main control button on the front of the device.
Press Sequence: Press the control button according to the following sequence:
Press and hold the button for about 10 seconds, then release.
Observe the LED Indicator: The reset is confirmed when the LED blinks rapidly, signaling that factory settings have been restored.
Verification: The D3Z device is reset and has lost all previous configurations.

Once either device is reset:
The device will be in pairing/configuration mode.
You can install it again via your ENKI app.
