Resetting Shelly 1 Gen4 and Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 Modules

This article explains how to reset your Shelly 1 Gen4 and Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 modules in order to reinstall them in your Enki home automation app.

 

When should you perform a reset?

A reset may be necessary in the following cases:

  • The module no longer responds in the Enki app
  • You are experiencing problems during installation

 

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that:

  • The Shelly module is properly powered electrically
  • You have access to the physical button on the module

 

Reset procedure

  1. Locate the button on the Shelly module.
  2. Press and hold the button for 10 seconds.
  3. After about 10 seconds:
    • The LED turns off → the reset is confirmed
    • Then the LED starts blinking again

➡️ The module is now reset.

 

After the reset

  • Once reset, the module automatically enters installation mode.
  • It will listen for 3 minutes so it can be detected and added again in the Enki app.

👉 During this time, start the procedure to add a new device from the Enki app.

 

If installation fails

  • Check that the reset was performed correctly (LED off then blinking)
  • Repeat the reset procedure if necessary
  • Make sure you are near the module during installation
