How do I put my fan into pairing mode?

Introduction: This help page guides you through activating the "listening" mode of your ceiling fan. This step is essential to allow the Enki app to detect your device and give you remote control.

Compatibility Check

To ensure your fan can join your Enki ecosystem, confirm that it is the "connected" version:

  • By spotting the "Works With Enki" label on the packaging

  • By making sure it came with pairing QR codes, which are generally located in the following 3 places:

Preparation for Pairing

To ensure immediate detection by the system, simply power on the fan using your standard wall switch and keep its original remote control, equipped with working batteries, within reach.

Make sure the remote properly controls the fan; otherwise, you will need to pair the two by pressing and holding the fan button on the remote control for more than 10 seconds (until a beep sounds).

Activating Listening Mode

To make your fan visible to Enki and initiate the connection, use the original remote control by simultaneously pressing and holding the Light button (represented by a light bulb) and the Favorite button (represented by a heart) until the device confirms receipt of the command with a sound signal.

Completing the Pairing

To finish adding your device to your connected home, continue the setup directly on the Enki app screen, keeping in mind that the fan remains open to pairing for 15 minutes after the sound signal is emitted.

ℹ️ Good to know: Keep the sticker containing the pairing QR code safe (for example, by sticking it in your device’s manual), as it will save you valuable time in case of future reinstallation or Wi-Fi network changes.
