Set up the Lexman camera

This guide walks you through setting up and customizing your Lexman security camera in the Enki app. Learn how to adjust the image, detection, and privacy settings to perfectly adapt your surveillance to your daily life.

Camera name

To identify your device at a glance in the app, easily rename your camera by choosing a familiar name that perfectly reflects its purpose or location in your home.

Room

To optimize the overall organization of your smart home, assign your camera to a specific room in your home to make it easier to manage daily and find among your other connected devices.

Detection sensitivity

To adapt surveillance to your environment without being bothered by false alerts, adjust the sensitivity to low, medium, or high, keeping in mind that it is recommended to start with a medium setting before fine-tuning it based on the desired responsiveness.

Detection zone

To ignore unimportant movements coming, for example, from the street or a nearby hallway, define a very precise zone in the camera image so that the surveillance system focuses only on what really matters.

Night vision

To ensure clear images even in complete darkness, set night vision to automatic mode, which will adjust itself to the room's lighting, or freely force it on or off based on your lighting requirements.

Privacy mode schedule

To protect your privacy when you are at home, define up to four specific time slots during which the camera will automatically suspend all video surveillance.

Status light

Depending on whether you want to check the camera's status at a glance or, on the contrary, make it more discreet, turn its status light on or off with a simple gesture.

Image orientation

If you install your camera on the ceiling or in an unusual corner, use the vertical and horizontal mirroring settings to virtually straighten the captured image and restore a natural viewing perspective.

Video timestamps

For precise event tracking and easier history playback, enable the automatic overlay of the date and time directly on recorded video clips.

Video quality

To find the perfect balance between image sharpness and network smoothness, select a high-definition resolution for maximum detail, or switch to standard quality to save bandwidth on your internet connection.

Storage management

To manage your video archives on the SD card, check the available space, adjust the length of each recording following a detection (30, 60, or 180 seconds), or start a complete format to start over and free up memory.

Alert notifications

To react immediately in the event of an intrusion or unexpected movement, allow push notifications to be sent to your smartphone so that you can be alerted in real time wherever you are.

System update

To continuously benefit from a secure, high-performing device, rely on Enki to monitor your camera's version number and automatically notify you whenever a software update is required.

Remove camera

If you change equipment or no longer use the camera, permanently remove it from your ecosystem by deleting it from your account, keeping in mind that this action is irreversible.

ℹ️ Good to know: To optimize motion detection and enjoy optimal night vision, avoid pointing your camera directly at a window or intense light source to limit reflections on the lens.
