This page details the configuration options available for your smart plug. It allows you to customize the device's identity and, most importantly, to define whether the plug should measure the consumption of an electrical device or the production of a solar kit.
Naming and identifying the smart plug
The Object name field allows you to give a personalized name to the smart plug so you can easily recognize it in your interface (e.g., "Washing Machine" or "South Solar Panel").
Assigning to a room
The Room menu allows you to define the location of the smart plug in your home.
Selecting the type of connected device (Consumption vs Production)
The Object type setting is the central element for the behavior of the energy monitoring interface.
Consumer: For example, if you have plugged in a household appliance or a light to the plug. This allows you to indicate to the app that the object connected to the plug consumes electricity.
Producer: For example, if you have plugged in a solar kit to the plug. This allows you to indicate to the app that the object connected to the plug generates electricity.
kWh Price including tax
This data is only available if you have selected a Producer object type. It allows you to enter the electricity cost from your contract, in order to estimate the money saved in your production history.
Startup state (after power outage)
The Startup state function allows you to define the behavior of the smart plug following a power outage. You can choose between three options:
On: The smart plug always turns "ON" as soon as power returns.
Off: The smart plug stays "OFF" after the outage.
Last state: The smart plug returns to the state (On or Off) it was in just before the power interruption.
Version
Indicates the current firmware version of the device
Push notification
Activate to allow the plug to send push notifications (e.g., in case of overload)
Delete the device
The Delete device button at the bottom of the screen allows you to disconnect the smart plug from your app. This action resets the device's configuration data in the app but does not delete the overall consumption history already recorded on your account.
Glossary
Firmware: The internal program of the smart plug that ensures its operation and communication.
Please do not enter personal information in the free and customizable fields (for example: "Jean Michel's bedroom").
