This article will guide you through creating an individual schedule for your device
Introduction:
What is an individual schedule?
|
The individual schedule integrated into your device allows you to automate its operation over an entire week, from Monday through Sunday. You can set specific times for each day, ensuring optimal management without manual intervention. This feature provides flexibility and efficiency throughout the week. |
Why create an individual schedule?
|
The individual schedule automates your device with a weekly routine tailored to your schedule, making it easier to manage your daily routine. It allows you to automate the device without integrating it into the global schedule, providing flexibility to modify the times without affecting the rest of the system. You can create several individual schedules and easily switch between them to adapt the device to your changing needs, such as during vacations or when your routine changes. |
How to create an individual schedule:
|
1 - Open the Enki app by clicking its icon " 2 - In the Home tab, select the relevant device to access its control page. 3 - Click " 4 - Two options: |
A schedule is required by the system. The "Default" schedule cannot be deleted or renamed. You can only modify the time slots and settings for each day.
Steps for creating your individual schedule:
Here is a simple example of an individual schedule to help you understand how to set one up. You can adapt it according to your needs and settings. (You can create much more complex schedules.)
Example of what we want to do:
| It is essential to take a moment to write down your automation ideas in order to precisely define the schedule to follow. Starting at midnight, determine the state of the device and gradually establish a schedule throughout the day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Monday through Sunday: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Here is our goal: adjust the heating of my device according to the peak/off-peak pricing of my electricity contract, as shown in the schedule below:
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Example of how to apply it:
|
01 - [If you are creating a new schedule]: Click Schedule name and enter a name. For the following example, we will call it "My schedule". It is essential to name your schedule clearly so that you can quickly identify it without opening it. 02 - Click Monday to edit your individual schedule for the first day. |
To begin your schedule, start by setting the device temperature at midnight. In our example, the initial temperature is 53°C at 12:00 AM, so you simply need to modify it. In the app, proceed as follows: 03 - Select the first time slot at 55°C (default temperature). 04 - Select the device status (55°C). 05 - Set the desired temperature (here: 53°C) using the "-" button. 06 - Click "Confirm" 07 - Then click "Save" Your schedule therefore starts at 53°C from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
|
To continue, set the next desired time slot. For our example, 60°C from 1:34 AM to 7:34 AM. Follow these steps: 08 - Click + Add a time slot. 09 - Set the desired Start time (here, 1:34 AM) and confirm with the OK button. 10 - Do the same for the End time (here, 7:34 AM) and confirm with OK. 11 - Select the device status (here, 55°C), set the desired target temperature (here, 60°C) using the "+" button, then click Confirm. 12 - Finally, click Save to save. |
As you can see, by adding our new time slot (1:34 AM–7:34 AM at 60°C) to the 12:00 AM–11:59 PM slot at 53°C, the latter was divided. The 53°C setting resumes immediately after 7:34 AM, at the end of the first time slot. If the Until the end of the day box had been checked for the End time when creating the second time slot, the first time slot would not have been divided, and the second would have covered the rest of the day. |
|
The Monday schedule is ready. To apply it from Monday through Sunday: 13 - Click Apply to other days. 14 - Select Tuesday through Sunday, then click Save. 15 - Return to the general schedule by clicking "←" in the top-left corner. The other days now have the same configuration as Monday. |
|
To finish, save the schedule: 16 - Click Save at the bottom of the screen. You will be redirected to your device's settings, where the new schedule will appear.
|
How do I start the individual schedule on my device?
From the "Mode" menu:
|
To start your device according to the schedule you created and make it autonomous, follow these steps: 01 - Click your device's tile on the "Home" screen. 02 - Click ">" in the "Mode" tile. 03 - Select your schedule, named "My schedule" here. 04 - Click Confirm. |
From the "Schedules" tile:
|
To start and automate your device according to the schedule: 01 - Click your device's tile on the "Home" screen. 02 - Select the "Schedule" tile. 03 - Activate the "My schedule" schedule by clicking Play "▶︎". A loading indicator will appear before the icon becomes a Stop button " 04 - Return to the control page by clicking "←" in the top-left corner to check that the device is in schedule mode. |
How does the device behave?
|
When starting in schedule mode, the device behaves as follows:
When the schedule is activated, the target temperature flashes for 3 seconds on the water heater to indicate that it was received correctly, then the current water temperature is displayed steadily. |
Things to know about individual schedules:
-
How many target temperature changes can I apply per day?
You can make up to 20 time changes per day in the schedule.
|
When editing your schedule, you can exceed 20 time slots, but when saving, an error message appears:
You must therefore reduce the number to a maximum of 20 time slots per day to save. |
How do I delete an individual schedule?
You can delete an individual schedule while editing it.
|
01 - Select the device on the "Home" screen. 02 - Open its settings using the gear icon " 03 - Under "Schedules", select the schedule you want to delete. 04 - Scroll down and click "Delete", then confirm again by clicking "Delete". The schedule will be deleted, and you will return to the device settings. |
|
It is not possible to delete an active schedule on your device. The following error message will appear:
To delete the schedule, switch the device to another schedule or put it in manual mode. |
-
Why does the first time slot remain at 12:00 AM–11:59 PM when I set a time and confirm it?
If only one time slot is defined, it automatically covers the entire day (12:00 AM to 11:59 PM). To obtain the desired time slot, you must only set the desired device status at the beginning of the schedule (at 12:00 AM) in the first proposed time slot (12:00 AM–11:59 PM), then add a second time slot with the device status and times you want to apply (by clicking "+ Add a time slot").
Can I name multiple schedules with the same name?
No, each schedule must have a unique name.
What temperatures are recommended for my device?
Absolute minimum: 50°C. Below this temperature, bacteria can survive and multiply in the tank. To destroy these bacteria, the water must be maintained at at least 50–55°C (or undergo regular thermal shocks at 60°C).
What temperature should not be exceeded for safety reasons?
At 60°C, a third-degree burn can occur in less than 5 seconds, so heating above this temperature is not recommended. At 50°C, several minutes of exposure are required.
-
Can my device be controlled through the "Heating" menu?
No, this is not a heating device, so it cannot be controlled from this menu.
-
Why can't I delete the "Default" schedule?
A schedule is required by the system. The "Default" schedule cannot be deleted or renamed. You can only modify the time slots and settings for each day.
-
How do I know if my device is following a schedule?
The indicator light next to "Prog Enki" turns on and flashes.
-
How do I check whether my device received the setting?
On your device, press "Mode" several times until the LED displays "Prog Enki". The setting will be displayed briefly before returning to the current water temperature.
