Introduction
Connected thermostatic heads offer great flexibility to manage your heating. One of the main features, if you have a compatible boiler relay, is the ability to control your boiler directly from these heads. Find out how to optimize your comfort and energy savings with this option.
Two operating modes
You can choose between two operating modes for each thermostatic head:
-
Does not control the boiler:
- Classic operation: The thermostatic head will simply regulate the temperature of the room where it is installed.
- Energy savings: This mode is ideal for rooms that you want to heat occasionally.
- Boiler dependency: If the boiler is not running, the radiator will not heat up, even if the thermostatic head is open.
-
Controls the boiler:
- Optimal comfort: When the room needs to be heated, the thermostatic head will send a signal to your boiler relay to turn on the boiler.
- Potentially higher consumption: This mode may result in a slight increase in your energy consumption if used excessively.
List of compatible relays
To benefit from the "Controls the boiler" mode, you must have a compatible boiler relay connected directly to your boiler. For a list of compatible relays, see the help page Compatible boiler relays
Which mode to choose?
The choice of operating mode depends on your lifestyle and priorities:
- Use the "Does not control the boiler" mode if you want to save energy or if you already have a system for programming your boiler.
- Use the "Controls the boiler" mode if you are looking for optimal comfort and a rapid temperature rise in the rooms where you spend the most time.
