Recommendations and Tips:

Assistant cligne des yeux - Parle.gif "Before starting the reconnection of your Wi-Fi device, I suggest you review the recommendations and tips below."
  • Your Wi-Fi network must operate on the 2.4 GHz band. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands be configured with separate SSIDs(1). We invite you to contact your Internet service provider for assistance in verifying the frequencies used by your Wi-Fi network and separating them if necessary.

  • It is recommended to keep only your main Wi-Fi access point active and disable all Wi-Fi repeaters during pairing of your Wi-Fi device.

  • Your Wi-Fi network password must not contain special characters(2). It should only consist of lowercase letters, uppercase letters, and numbers.

  • The Wi-Fi security encryption(3) on your internet box must be configured to WPA2 only. WEP and WPA3 protocols are not compatible with your Wi-Fi device. Additionally, WPA and WPA/WPA2 modes present security risks, which could cause device malfunction.

  • Please ensure your Wi-Fi device and internet box are placed as close to each other as possible. If necessary, temporarily move your Wi-Fi device closer to the internet box to proceed with pairing.

  • Disconnect all devices that might emit a Wi-Fi network or to which the product could connect, such as Wi-Fi repeaters.

  • If you need to add multiple Wi-Fi devices, it is imperative to power only one device at a time. The others must be unplugged from their power source.

  • For pairing operations, please disable mobile/cellular data(4) in your smartphone settings. It is essential not to enable airplane mode, but only to disable mobile/cellular data.

  • It is imperative to verify that your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and that it is not connected to any device. If your phone is connected via Bluetooth to another device, it is recommended to temporarily disable this connection between your phone and that device.

  • Your smartphone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Wi-Fi device you want to connect throughout the entire pairing phase.

"If there is an issue at this stage, it is essential to perform the following checks:

  • Please ensure you are near the Wi-Fi device you are installing.
  • Verify that your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled.
  • It is important to check that your phone’s Bluetooth is not already connected to another device.
    • If it is already connected to another device: the existing connection likely prevents proper transmission of information to the Wi-Fi device; please disconnect the device currently connected via Bluetooth to your phone.
  • Turn off the Wi-Fi device’s power for one minute, then restore power.
  • Unplug the Wi-Fi dongle from the device, then plug it back in.
  • Try using another phone/tablet to rule out a potential device issue."

8 - Complete the installation of your device.
11 - (ESDK 2) Installation de l'objet en cours.gif
  • After displaying "Preparing your installation", the app will show "Installation in progress, please wait, this may take a few minutes". This means your Wi-Fi device has correctly received, via Bluetooth, the information entered on your phone and is now trying to connect to the platform. Please wait while the Wi-Fi device connects to the Wi-Fi access point you specified earlier and registers on our platform. You can then proceed to customize it.
  • Please wait until the installation is complete (this should take no more than two minutes in case of a slow network).

Once your Wi-Fi device has connected to the platform, it will respond as follows:
Aruba - Etat de l'objet - 03.gif
  • The light changes to warm white.
Flèche Enki.png When the fan is connected to your network and identified on the platform, the fan’s light will turn warm white.

Assistant cligne des yeux - Alerte.gif "If the screen indicating “Installation in progress, please wait, this may take a few minutes” remains stuck, or you receive an installation error after this screen, it means your Wi-Fi device is not installing correctly and the installation process has failed. We invite you to check the prerequisites and recommendations mentioned earlier."

Assistant cligne des yeux - Dépannage.gif

"To facilitate analysis of the issue in case of installation failure, please find below some recommendations:

  • Did your Wi-Fi device respond as expected when connecting to the platform?
    • Yes: Your device connected properly to the platform. The information sent to your device is accurate. Here are potential causes:
Flèche Enki.png A firewall associated with your internet box could be the cause; it is advised to temporarily lower its security level if necessary.
Flèche Enki.png It might be a temporary data processing error. We recommend closing the app completely and clearing the cache. (Feel free to consult the article “How to Clear the Cache of My Enki App” for assistance.) Upon reconnecting your account to your app, an object named “NO_NAME” might appear in a room named “Object without room.” If so, your pairing was successful. You can click on it, then access its settings, rename it as you prefer, and assign it to the desired room. If the object does not appear, please try the installation again.
Flèche Enki.png It is essential to verify that your smartphone is connected to the Wi-Fi network the device is trying to connect to.

    • No: Your Wi-Fi device failed to connect to the Wi-Fi network you specified.
Flèche Enki.png Please check the distance between your internet box and your Wi-Fi device, as well as the Wi-Fi password and associated security protocol. (To learn how to verify your Wi-Fi password, you can consult the article titled: “ How to Verify My Wi-Fi Password”)
Flèche Enki.png Also, please verify the Wi-Fi frequency used by your network, according to the indications provided in the section: “ Recommendations and Tips.” "

9 - Once the platform confirms your device’s reconnection, the message "Your device has been successfully connected" will appear. You can click "Finish" to complete the installation.

You will be redirected to your device’s settings page. You can then return to the control page by clicking "" at the top left to control your device again.

Assistant cligne des yeux - Alerte.gif

"If your device remains uncontrollable, we recommend performing the following steps:

  • Restart your Enki app
  • Cut power to your device for one minute, then restore power.
  • Restart your internet box

If, after this step, the malfunction persists, it means your device was reset before starting the reconnection procedure.

Therefore, it reconnects to your internet box and our platform, but, lacking any stored identifiers, the device can no longer access control links.

The only viable solution is to completely remove the Wi-Fi device from your app, reset it again, and then restart the entire pairing procedure via a new addition. I recommend referring to the following article to proceed with its reinstallation: How Does Pairing My Inspire Connected Fan Work?."

Assistant - Danse de la victoire.gif

"Congratulations, your Wi-Fi device is now connected to your network. You can start using it immediately."

What You Should Know About Your Device:

  • The procedure indicates that my Wi-Fi device is reconnected, but the light remains cool white. I cannot control my device.
Flèche Enki.png It is important to perform several checks:
    • Clear all caches: Restart your app, device, and internet box.
    • Simulate your Wi-Fi network via a hotspot to verify if your personal Wi-Fi network is causing the Wi-Fi device’s communication failure with the platform. (You can consult the following article: " How to Check If My Internet Box Is Causing Wi-Fi Device Connection Issues ")
    • If this still does not work, your Wi-Fi device lacks information, meaning it has been reset. You must remove it, reset it again, and restart the configuration from the beginning.
  • Can I connect my Wi-Fi device to a Wi-Fi repeater?
Flèche Enki.png Yes, this is possible. However, this practice is not recommended because Wi-Fi repeaters can sometimes provide an unstable connection. Additionally, it is essential that your Wi-Fi repeater’s SSID is different from your internet box’s SSID. Indeed, identical SSIDs can cause frequent and random disconnections, as your Wi-Fi device might alternate between connection point A (the internet box) and connection point B (the repeater), and vice versa.
  • The Enki app asks for access to location services; should I allow it?
Flèche Enki.png Yes, it is imperative to enable location services so the app can properly detect networks nearby.

iOS - Activer le service de connexion local.gif
    • On my iPhone, do I need to enable local network access in my iPhone settings?
Flèche Enki.png Yes, local network access settings must be enabled because this setting allows the phone to communicate over Wi-Fi with another device. Without this setting enabled, the phone cannot exchange information with the Wi-Fi device when connected to it.
