Recommendations and tips:
Before reconnecting your Wi-Fi device, follow these tips:
(1) SSID: The name of your Wi-Fi network visible in your phone's settings. (2) Special characters: Symbols such as "?", "!", "@", "#", etc. (3) Wi-Fi encryption: The method that protects communications between your device and your Internet router. (4) Mobile data: Internet access through 4G or 5G networks. |
| ⚠ If you are using an iOS device (iPhone or iPad), it is essential to check the following two points, which could prevent the procedure from working. | |
| Allow the Enki app to access Bluetooth | Make sure Low Data Mode is disabled on your Wi-Fi. |
| Before reconnecting your Wi-Fi device, plug it in, wait one minute, then check its status. | |
⚠ It is essential that you have not reset your Wi-Fi device. If you have reset it, do not continue with this procedure. The device will connect to your router, but its light indicator will remain unchanged and it will be unusable, despite a successful connection message. In this case, delete and then reinstall the device to start the setup again. |
Steps for reconnecting your Wi-Fi device:
Step 1: Enter the reconnection menu and confirm your device
| 1 - In the "Home" menu, select the tile for your disconnected Wi-Fi device, identified by a " ! " and the status "offline." | |||||||
2 - Access the settings by clicking the gear icon 3 - Select "Change Wi-Fi network." 4 - Follow the prerequisites to put the device into listening mode.
5 - Then click "Done" at the bottom.
6 - Scan the device's QR code.
| |||||||
| ⚠ The QR code is on your Wi-Fi device. If it does not work, is unreadable, or has been lost, contact your retailer's after-sales service to find a solution. |
If your Wi-Fi device does not respond as expected, follow these steps:
Your device should then work as expected. |
Step 2: Reconnect your device to your Wi-Fi network
| 7 - Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect the device. | ||
| ||
The "We're preparing your installation" screen indicates that your phone is searching for nearby Bluetooth connections to communicate with the Wi-Fi device being configured. Once the device is detected, your phone automatically sends it the information you entered, such as the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password, enabling a secure connection to your Wi-Fi network and facilitating the installation. |
⚠ If your Wi-Fi device does not respond to Bluetooth, it will not receive your Wi-Fi network information. It may also not be in the state required by the procedure at that time. |
If there is a problem, check the following:
| 8 - Complete the installation of your device. | |
| Once connected to the platform, your Wi-Fi device will respond as follows: | |
| ⚠ If the "Installation in progress, please wait; this may take a few minutes" screen remains stuck or displays an error, your Wi-Fi device installation has failed. Please check the previous prerequisites and recommendations. |
To make it easier to analyze installation errors, here are some recommendations:
9 - Once your device has been reconnected, the message "Your device was connected successfully" will appear. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.
You will be redirected to your device's settings. To return to the control page, click "←" in the upper-left corner. |
⚠ If you still cannot control your device, try the following:
If the problem persists, the device was probably reset before reconnection. It reconnects to the router and our platform, but without credentials, it can no longer be controlled. The solution is to delete the Wi-Fi device from the app, reset it, and then repeat the pairing procedure. See How does pairing my Inspire connected fan work? for the reinstallation procedure. |
What you need to know about your device:
-
My Wi-Fi device is reconnected, but the light remains cool white and I cannot control it.
Check the following:
- Clear the caches and restart the app, the device, and the Internet router.
- Test your Wi-Fi network using a hotspot to determine whether the router is the cause (How does the check work to determine whether my Internet router is responsible for blocking Wi-Fi device connections?).
- If the problem persists, the device was reset: delete it, reset it, and start the setup again.
-
Can I connect my Wi-Fi device to a Wi-Fi extender?
Yes, but this is not recommended because extenders can cause an unstable connection. The extender's SSID must be different from the router's SSID to avoid frequent disconnections.
-
The Enki app is requesting access to location services. Should I allow it?
Yes, this is required for the app to correctly detect nearby networks.
