Recommendations and tips:

Before reconnecting your Wi-Fi device, follow these tips:

  • Your Wi-Fi network must be 2.4 GHz. Configure the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands with distinct SSIDs(1). Contact your Internet provider to verify and separate frequencies if needed.

  • Activate only your main access point and disconnect all other Wi-Fi devices or repeaters that might interfere.

  • SSID and password must contain only letters and numbers, without special characters(2).

  • Wi-Fi security encryption(3) must be WPA2 only. WEP, WPA3, WPA, and WPA/WPA2 are not compatible and may cause malfunctions.

  • Place the Wi-Fi device near the Internet box for pairing.

  • If adding multiple devices, power them one by one.

  • Disable mobile/cellular data(4) on your smartphone without enabling airplane mode.

  • Enable Bluetooth on your phone and ensure it is not connected to any other device.

  • Your smartphone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the device during pairing.

(1) SSID: Name of your Wi-Fi network visible in your phone’s settings.

(2) Special characters: Symbols like "?", "!", "@", "#", etc.

(3) Wi-Fi encryption: Method protecting exchanges between your device and the Internet box.

(4) Mobile data: Internet access via 4G or 5G networks.

⚠ If you are using an iOS device (iPhone or iPad), it is essential to check the following two points, which could be obstacles to the procedure.

12 - iOS - Autorisation de l'accès Bluetooth pour l'application Enki.gif

13 - iOS - Vérifier le Wi-Fi - Mode faible données.gif

Allow the Enki app to access Bluetooth Make sure “Low Data Mode” is disabled on your Wi-Fi.
  1. Open your device’s Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select "Apps".
  3. Find Enki in the list and tap it.
  4. If "Bluetooth" is grayed out, enable it by tapping on it.
  1. Open your device’s Settings.
  2. Tap "Wi-Fi".
  3. Tap the "(i)" next to the connected network.
  4. If "Low Data Mode" is enabled (green check), disable it.
Before reconnecting your Wi-Fi device, plug it in, wait one minute, then check its status.

Flèche Enki 20px.png Press the cool white adjustment button + several times until you reach the coolest shade.

It is essential that you have not reset your Wi-Fi device.

If you have reset it, do not continue this procedure. The device will connect to your box, but its indicator light will remain unchanged and it will be unusable, despite a successful connection message.

In this case, delete and then reinstall the device to restart the setup.

Steps to reconnect your Wi-Fi device:

Step 1: Enter the reconnection menu and confirm your device

1 - In the "Home" menu, select the tile of your disconnected Wi-Fi device, marked by a " ! " and the indication "offline".

On the back of the remote control On the Wi-Fi USB dongle In the product box, you have 2 QR Codes on a sticker.
⚠ The QR code is on your Wi-Fi device. If it does not work, is unreadable, or lost, contact your retailer’s after-sales service to find a solution.

If your Wi-Fi device does not respond as expected, follow these steps:

  • Unplug it or cut the power.
  • Wait 3 minutes.
  • Plug it back in or restore power.
  • Wait 2 minutes for reboot.

Your device should then operate as expected.

Step 2: Reconnect your device to your Wi-Fi network

7 - Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect the device.

  • Please choose your personal Wi-Fi network (your Internet box).

⚠ Keep only your main Wi-Fi access point active and remove repeaters. Configure your network on the 2.4 GHz band.

For better performance, separate the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequencies into distinct SSIDs.

  • Please click on the field "Enter your password".
  • Please enter your Wi-Fi password (security key shown on your box unless modified).
⚠ Your Wi-Fi password must contain only letters and numbers, without special characters.
  • Press "validate" on the keyboard to confirm.

  • You can check the box "Remember my password for future installations" so your phone saves this info and eases connection of your future products.

  • Click "Confirm".

  • Wait as your phone transmits the info via Bluetooth to your Wi-Fi device.

The "Preparing your installation" screen indicates your phone is searching for nearby Bluetooth connections to communicate with the Wi-Fi device to configure.

Once the device is detected, your phone automatically sends the entered information, such as Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password, allowing a secure connection to your Wi-Fi network and facilitating installation.

⚠ If your Wi-Fi device does not respond to Bluetooth, it does not receive your network information.

It may also not be in the required state for the procedure at this time.

If problems occur, check:

  • You are close to the Wi-Fi device.
  • Bluetooth on your phone is enabled.
  • Your phone is not already connected via Bluetooth to another device.
    • If so: disconnect the other device to allow connection to the Wi-Fi device.
  • Turn off the Wi-Fi device’s power for one minute, then turn it back on.
  • Unplug and replug the Wi-Fi dongle.
  • Try another phone or tablet to rule out a device issue.
8 - Complete the installation of your device.

11 - (ESDK 2) Installation de l'objet en cours.gif

  • After "Preparing your installation", the app shows "Installation in progress, please wait, this may take a few minutes". This means your Wi-Fi device has received the info from your phone via Bluetooth and is attempting to connect to the platform. Please wait during connection to the Wi-Fi access point and registration. You will then be able to customize it.

  • Please wait until installation completes (this should take no more than two minutes if the network is slow).
Once connected to the platform, your Wi-Fi device will respond as follows:
Aruba - Etat de l'objet - 03.gif
  • The light turns warm white.
Flèche Enki 20px.png When the fan is connected and recognized on the platform, its light glows warm white
⚠ If the “Installation in progress, please wait, this may take a few minutes” screen remains stuck or shows an error, the installation of your Wi-Fi device has failed. Please check the previous prerequisites and recommendations.

To help analyze installation errors, here are some recommendations:

  • Did your Wi-Fi device respond as expected when connecting to the platform?
    • Yes: Your device is properly connected to the platform and received data is correct. Possible causes:
Flèche Enki 20px.png A firewall on your Internet box may block the connection; temporarily reduce its security if needed.
Flèche Enki 20px.png A temporary error may occur. Close the app, clear the cache (see the article “How does clearing the cache of my Enki app work?”). Upon reconnection, the device should be online. If yes, reconnection is successful: you can control it. Otherwise, repeat the reconnection.
Flèche Enki 20px.png Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the device.
    • No: Your Wi-Fi device could not connect to the specified network.
Flèche Enki 20px.png Check the distance between the box and the device, the Wi-Fi password, and the security protocol. (To verify your password, see the article: “How does verifying my Wi-Fi password work?”)
Flèche Enki 20px.png Also check the Wi-Fi frequency used, according to the advice in the paragraph: “Recommendations and tips”.

9 - Once your device is reconnected, the message "Your device has been successfully connected" will appear. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.

You will be redirected to your device’s settings. To return to the control page, click "" at the top left.

06 - Comment fonctionne la reconnexion de mon objet Wi-Fi - Objet installé.gif

If your device remains uncontrollable, try:

  • Restarting the Enki app
  • Turning off the device’s power for one minute, then restoring it
  • Restarting your Internet box

If the problem persists, the device was probably reset before reconnection. It reconnects to the box and our platform, but without identifiers, it can no longer be controlled.

The solution is to delete the Wi-Fi device from the app, reset it, then redo the pairing procedure. See How does pairing my Inspire connected fan work? for reinstallation.

What to know about your device:

  • My Wi-Fi device is reconnected, but the light stays cool white and I cannot control it.
    Check:
  • Can I connect my Wi-Fi device to a Wi-Fi repeater?
Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, but it is not recommended because repeaters can cause an unstable connection. The repeater’s SSID must be different from the box’s to avoid frequent disconnections.
  • Does the Enki app request access to location services, should I allow it?
Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, it is necessary for the app to properly detect surrounding networks.

iOS - Activer le service de connexion local.gif

  • Should I enable local network access on my iPhone?
Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, this setting allows your iPhone to communicate via Wi-Fi with other devices on the same network. Without it, information exchanges are impossible.
