This article will guide you through creating an individual schedule for your device
Introduction:
What is an individual schedule?
|
The individual schedule integrated into your device allows you to automate its operation over an entire week, from Monday through Sunday. You can set specific times for each day, ensuring optimal management without manual intervention. This feature provides flexibility and efficiency throughout the week. |
Why create an individual schedule?
|
The individual schedule automates your device with a weekly routine adapted to your lifestyle, making it easier to manage your schedule. It allows you to automate the device without integrating it into the overall schedule, providing flexibility to modify the times without affecting the rest of the system. You can create several individual schedules and easily switch between them to adapt the device to your changing needs, such as during vacations or when your routine changes. |
How to create an individual schedule:
|
1 - Open the Enki app by clicking its icon " 2 - In the Home tab, select the relevant device to access its control page. 3 - Click " 4 - Two options: |
A schedule is required for the system. The "Default" schedule cannot be deleted or renamed. You can only modify the time slots and settings for each day.
Steps for creating your individual schedule:
Here is a simple example of an individual schedule to help you understand how to set one up. You can adapt it according to your needs and settings. (You can create much more complex schedules.)
Example of what we want to do:
| It is essential to take some time to write down your automation ideas in order to precisely define the schedule to follow. Starting at midnight, determine the state of the device and build a schedule progressively throughout the day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Monday through Sunday: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Here is our objective: adjust the heating of my device according to the peak/off-peak electricity rates in my contract, as shown in the schedule below:
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Example of how to apply it:
|
01 - [If you are creating a new schedule]: Click Schedule name and enter a name. For the following example, we will call it "My schedule." It is essential to name your schedule clearly so you can identify it quickly without opening it. 02 - Click Monday to edit your individual schedule for the first day. |
A default schedule is available to help you. You can keep it or modify its times and temperature settings. This schedule is automatically generated based on the general heating habits of a household. |
|
To customize your schedule, start by deleting all existing time slots: 03 - Click the time slot to delete 04 - Click "Delete." Repeat until only one time slot remains |
To begin your schedule, start by defining the device's state at midnight. In our example, the initial state is off at 12:00 AM, so you simply need to change it. In the app, proceed as follows: 05 - Select the first time slot, which is on (default state). 06 - Select the device's state (on). 07 - Set the desired state (here: off) by clicking it. 08 - Click "✓" (iOS) or "Confirm" (Android) 09 - Then click "✓" (iOS) or "Save" (Android) Your schedule therefore begins with the device off from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
|
To continue, define the next desired time slot. For our example, 60°C from 1:34 AM to 7:34 AM. Follow these steps: 10 - Click + Add a time slot. 11 - Set the desired Start time (here, 1:34 AM) and confirm with the OK button. 12 - Do the same for the End time (here, 7:34 AM) and confirm with OK. 13 - Since the device is already set to on, click "✓" (iOS) or "Save" (Android) to save. |
As you can see, by adding our new time slot (1:34 AM–7:34 AM with the device on) to the 12:00 AM–11:59 PM slot with the device off, the latter was divided. The off state resumes immediately after 7:34 AM, at the end of the first time slot. If the Until the end of the day box had been checked for the End time while creating the second time slot, the first time slot would not have been divided, and the second would have covered the rest of the day. |
|
Monday's schedule is ready. To apply it from Monday through Sunday: 14 - Click Apply to other days. 15 - Select Tuesday through Sunday, then click "✓" (iOS) or "Save" (Android). 16 - Return to the general schedule by clicking "←" in the upper-left corner. The other days now have the same configuration as Monday. |
|
To finish, save the schedule: 17 - Click "✓" (iOS) or "Save" (Android). You will be redirected to your device's settings, where the new schedule will appear.
|
How do I start the individual schedule on my device?
|
To start your device according to the schedule you created and make it autonomous, follow these steps: 01 - Click your device's tile on the "Home" screen. 02 - Click "Change" (iOS) or the mode icon in the "Control type" tile. 03 - Select the "Individual schedule" tile, then click "Change." 04 - Select your individual schedule and click "✓" (iOS) or "Save" (Android). 05 - Click "✓" (iOS) or "Confirm" (Android). |

-
Why does the first time slot remain set to 12:00 AM–11:59 PM when I set a time and confirm it?
If only one time slot is defined, it automatically covers the entire day (12:00 AM to 11:59 PM). To obtain the desired time slot, you must only set the desired device state at the beginning of the schedule (at 12:00 AM) in the first proposed time slot (12:00 AM–11:59 PM), then add a second time slot with the device state and times you want to apply (by clicking "+ Add a time slot").
Can I name multiple schedules with the same name?
No, each schedule must have a unique name.
-
Can my device be controlled through the "Heating" menu?
No, this is not a heating device, so it cannot be controlled through this menu.
-
Why can't I delete the "Default" schedule?
A schedule is required for the system. The "Default" schedule cannot be deleted or renamed. You can only modify the time slots and settings for each day.
