How does the Energy Bonus work through Enki?

Summary:

This article guides you through signing up for the Energy Bonus program with Enki.

What is the Energy Bonus?

The Energy Bonus is a program that temporarily adjusts your devices (heating devices and water heaters) during consumption peaks, allowing you to help relieve the French national power grid without taking any additional action once you have signed up for this program.

  • Heating devices : brief setpoint reduction (15 minutes to 1 hour, up to 4 times/day)
  • Water heaters : delayed heating, hot water comfort preserved.

Program rewards: Annual bonus of up to $15 per heating device and $40 per water heater.

The rewards accumulated for each device through successful Energy Bonus actions over a period of 365 days are credited to your account balance on the anniversary date of each device activated in the program.

You can request your rewards during cash-out periods, which will be announced in the app.

How do I become eligible for the Energy Bonus?

01-COM~1.GIF

To be eligible for the Energy Bonus:

  • Make sure you have a Linky meter ready to be linked to the relevant home in the Enki app.
  • Have at least one eligible heating device or water heater, present in that same home.
  • You must accept the required consents to activate the Energy Bonus program.
  • You must not already be enrolled with another energy management provider.

To sign up for the Energy Bonus:

  • Go to the “Coach” tab > “Energy Bonus” then click “Activate my program” and follow the steps.

To link your Linky meter* to the Enki app, check these three conditions:

  1. Your distribution system operator must be Enedis. Check this at comparateur-offres.energie-info.fr. (Please note that Enedis is not an electricity provider, but a distribution system operator. Example: If EDF is your electricity provider, ENEDIS must be the distribution system operator.)
  2. The Linky meter must not be linked to another Enki account. If necessary, unlink it from the old account. If needed, you can refer to the article How do I unlink my Linky meter from my Enki account?

* This feature is reserved for residential customers. It is not available if your Linky meter is associated with a business account.

This feature is only available for Linky meters managed by the electricity provider Enedis. It is not available if you depend on a local electricity provider such as Électricité de Strasbourg, GEG (Gaz et Électricité de Grenoble), Séolis, or Gaz de Bordeaux.

The service is only available in metropolitan France and is not available in the DROM-COM territories.

Things to know about the Energy Bonus:

  • What does the Energy Bonus involve?
Flèche Enki 20px.png The Energy Bonus involves temporarily reducing consumption during demand peaks or shifting consumption to periods of lower grid demand or high renewable energy production. This prevents strain and the risk of a blackout on the grid managed by RTE. To thank you for this collective effort, Enki rewards you when Energy Bonus sessions are successful.

  • What are the requirements for participating in the Energy Bonus program?
Flèche Enki 20px.png You must have a Linky meter. The distribution system operator for your area must be Enedis. You must have compatible heating devices and/or water heaters, and you must accept the terms of the Energy Bonus program.

  • How do I participate in the Energy Bonus?
Flèche Enki 20px.png In the Enki app, open “Coach”, then “Energy Bonus” and click “Activate my program”.

  • I have a Linky meter. Why can't I link it?
Flèche Enki 20px.png The distribution system operator for your power line must be Enedis. If it depends on another operator, linking it with Enki is not possible. Check this at comparateur-offres.energie-info.fr. For more information, see the article: How do I link my Linky meter to the Enki app?

  • How do I collect my balance?
Flèche Enki 20px.png In “Coach” > “Energy Bonus”, click “Current balance”, then “Collect my balance” at the bottom of the screen.

  • Can I collect my balance at any time?
Flèche Enki 20px.png No. Collection periods are shown in the app. The “Collect my balance” button is only available during these periods.

  • How are my rewards paid?
Flèche Enki 20px.png They are paid by bank transfer. Enter your bank details in the app when requesting collection.

  • Are my rewards kept if I don't collect them during the scheduled period?
Flèche Enki 20px.png Yes, they remain in your balance until the next collection period.

  • Does deactivating the Energy Bonus unlink my Linky meter from my Enki account?
Flèche Enki 20px.png No. You are only leaving the Energy Bonus program. The meter remains linked to your Enki account, and Enedis consumption readings remain available.

  • What happens to my rewards if I deactivate the Energy Bonus?
Flèche Enki 20px.png You lose all rewards accumulated during the current season.

  • Why did my status change from “Active” to “Declined” after activating the Energy Bonus program?
Flèche Enki 20px.png The status is initially “Active”, then RTE and Survoltage verify your information. If there is a problem, the status changes to “Declined”. Check “Participation status” to find out the reason.

  • Why does the “An error occurred” message appear during activation?
Flèche Enki 20px.png This error may indicate that the Energy Bonus program is probably still active on another account associated with the same Linky meter. Deactivate it on that other account as well. If you have never activated the Energy Bonus, please contact our support team.

  • What happens if I revoke the Energy Bonus consents while it is active?
Flèche Enki 20px.png The Energy Bonus program is automatically deactivated.

32 - Comment fonctionne mon radiateur connecté dans le bonus énergie - Supprimer consentements.gif

How do I deactivate the consents?

    1. Open settings using the gear , then select Settings.
    2. Select Enki consents.
    3. Turn off the green slider for Energy Bonus Participation. It turns gray .
    4. Save your changes by tapping “✓” (iOS) or “Save” (Android).
  • What happens if I delete my Linky meter while the Energy Bonus is active?
Flèche Enki 20px.png The Energy Bonus remains active: preheating and load-shedding sessions continue, and you continue accumulating rewards if you remain enrolled in the program. Only Linky data will no longer be visible in the Enki app.

  • Why doesn't my heating device or water heater appear in the Energy Bonus?
Flèche Enki 20px.png Check that your device is compatible with the Energy Bonus and that it is associated with the correct input in the app.

  • Can I see the rewards accumulated during the season?
Flèche Enki 20px.png No. Rewards are calculated and displayed at the end of the season, based on the validation and valuation received from RTE regarding the success of each Energy Bonus session.

  • What are the maximum rewards per device?
Flèche Enki 20px.png The maximum amount is $15 per heating device and $40 per water heater per year. The amount actually paid depends on the actual success of load-shedding sessions and the market value. (Please see our Terms of Use.)

  • What is load shedding?
Flèche Enki 20px.png After preheating, load shedding temporarily reduces the operation of your heating devices to limit their consumption on the power grid.
