Introduction:
| The "Heating" section of the Enki app brings all your heating devices together in a single menu. This lets you control all your devices easily and quickly, as detailed below, without changing interfaces. This feature simplifies the management of your daily thermal comfort. |
Eligible products?
| The "Heating" section is accessible only if your app contains compatible devices. To use its options, add one of the following types: | |
|
Connected radiators: Control the desired temperature for precise, personalized thermal comfort. Connected air conditioners: Control the desired temperature for precise, personalized comfort. “Pilot wire” receivers: Choose from several modes (Comfort, Eco, Frost protection, Off) to easily adapt your heating. ON/OFF receivers: Simply turn the device on or off for basic but effective management. Connected thermostats and thermostatic heads: Set the target temperature; they automatically adjust the heating for optimal comfort and controlled energy consumption. |
|
For ON/OFF receivers, it is important to note that plugs and boiler modules are not included, as they have a different purpose. Air conditioners are included, but only temperature control is possible here. Advanced settings (fan, modes, etc.) must be configured from the air conditioner’s dedicated page in the "Home" menu.
What is it for?
|
The "Heating" menu manages and schedules the heating for your entire home 🏠, not just one radiator or room (except in individual mode). It provides an overall view of your thermal comfort. When scheduling, think about your entire home 🏠, not an isolated area. This article and its tutorials help you schedule your heating according to your needs. You can create a customized schedule for optimal comfort and controlled energy consumption. |

What is a temporary override?
A temporary override lets you adjust the temperature / pilot wire command for your heating for a limited time without changing the existing schedule. It is useful for unexpected events, temporary needs, or changes in weather.
|
|
A temporary override lets you quickly adjust your heating without changing the programmed settings, maintaining optimal control of your energy consumption while meeting your current needs. To create an override, go to your device’s control page through its tile, modify the pilot wire command, then set the time to return to the original schedule. When a temporary override is active in your schedule, it appears on the timeline in a dedicated area (on the control page). Below it, you’ll find the current command with the temperature, mode, status, and end time. Overrides cannot be created directly from the “Heating” page. |
How do I create my heating schedule?
| The scheduling section of the Heating menu is essential for automating your home🏠 heating. It lets you schedule times and temperatures for each connected heating receiver with pilot wire, optimizing comfort and energy consumption. Below is a practical example of how to create a schedule step by step. |
What to know about the Heating menu:
Why doesn’t my pilot wire device appear in the menu?
Check that it is a compatible device: connected heating or air conditioning, a “pilot wire” or ON/OFF receiver, thermostat, or connected thermostatic head. Also check that it is paired with the correct input in the app.
I can’t select the “Home” control type for my device. The message says: “Synchronization with the home unavailable. This device is not enabled in any mode in the Heating tab.” What should I do?
|
In the Heating tab, open “ |
Can I set a schedule for each pilot wire device instead of using a global schedule?
Yes. From the control page, select the “Individual control” use, then the “Equipment schedule” mode. You can then create a schedule dedicated to that pilot wire device. (Excluding air conditioners and ON/OFF receivers.)
Can I give multiple schedules the same name?
No, each schedule must have a unique name.
What temperatures are recommended?
In a home:
- Living area: 68.0°F
- Bedroom: 64.4°F
- Bathroom: 73.4°F
It is recommended to lower the temperature by 3.6 to 5.4°F in an unoccupied room.
How do I apply a manual override to my pilot wire device?
From the control page, change the setpoint. Then specify the override end time.
How do I know whether my device is following a schedule?
Use the following methods:
|
From your device’s control page: Check the control type and make sure schedule mode is enabled. |
Through the Heating menu: Check your device status: schedule, manual, frost protection, off, or individual. |
Can I add a schedule to my favorites?
No, schedules do not have a favorites feature.
Are new heating devices added to the schedule?
Yes, they are present but disabled by default in all available modes. For each mode, enable them and configure their setpoint.
Can I create multiple away modes with different temperatures?
Yes. Each mode must have a different name and can use a different temperature.
Why doesn’t my radiator turn off?
Some heating devices cannot be completely turned off. They switch to the minimum temperature or frost protection mode.
How long does schedule synchronization take?
It can take up to 15 minutes depending on the number of modes and devices involved. The more complex the schedule, the longer synchronization takes.
How do I change schedules?
In schedule control type, tap "⁝" on the “Current schedule” tile, then tap “Change schedule.” Select the desired schedule, then tap "✓" in the upper-right corner (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom of the screen (Android).
What is the difference between individual and manual control?
With individual control, each heating device operates independently and only its status is visible. With manual control, you can control the devices collectively using the modes you created.
One of my connected heating receivers with pilot wire, configured to remain under individual control, automatically switches to “Home” control and follows the collective schedule settings instead of its individual schedule. Why?
Even if its control type is set to “Individual control,” if it is included in one of the modes, it will automatically switch to “Home” control when that mode is applied. Check that your heating device, which should be controlled individually, is excluded from all existing modes. When it is excluded, its slider appears gray in the relevant mode.
Why is the “Off” control type sometimes grayed out?
With the “Individual” control type, your devices cannot be controlled collectively. First enable the “Schedule” or “Manual” control type, then check that each device is set to “Home.” You can then select “Off.” Depending on the device, it will switch to “Off” or “Frost protection.”
Is it better to turn off the connected heating receiver with pilot wire or set it to “Frost protection” mode?
We recommend choosing “Frost protection” mode. A pilot wire device turned off in cold weather can be damaged, as can some parts of your home or even the home itself.
