Summary:
This article guides you step by step through creating an effective heating automation schedule for your home 🏠 using a full integration method. A practical example, neither too simple nor too complex, will help you easily understand and apply these principles.
Reminder:
This article supplements the one about how the connected radiator works in the "Heating" menu. If you have not read it yet, click the link above to discover all the features of the Heating menu. ☝️

Reminder: The schedule organizes the operation of all the heating devices in your home 🏠, not just one radiator or one room. It applies to your entire home 🏠 to ensure overall thermal comfort. When creating the schedule, think about your entire home 🏠, not an isolated area. This tutorial guides you through effectively scheduling your heating according to your needs. This allows you to define a personalized schedule that ensures thermal comfort while optimizing energy consumption. |
Example of creating a schedule:
Before creating your schedule in the app, it is essential to examine your home's configuration and first establish the schedule on paper. Click the desired section below to display the explanations, which are provided as examples.
Our home
Our home:
|
Here is our home 🏠. It consists of three rooms equipped with heating. The home 🏠 is organized as follows:
We therefore have three radiators to integrate into the schedule. |
How do you establish the schedule 📅 for the three heating systems?
We will use the “full integration” 🕰️ method for a precise and detailed 7-day schedule, with each day divided into 24 hours.
You will need to determine the status of the heating devices at every moment, particularly at midnight, and then note the times when these statuses change.
|
Clearly defining your heating schedules is essential for optimizing their efficiency and ensuring suitable comfort. Here, the schedules from Monday through Friday are identical, reflecting a work routine, while the weekend schedules differ to adapt to specific habits. During the week, the heating is reduced while you are away at work, but on weekends, it is programmed for optimal comfort at home. |
What temperatures 🌡️ are recommended in a home?
The recommended temperatures 🌡️ in a home are as follows:
For a living area: 20.0°C
For a bedroom: 18.0°C
For a bathroom: 23.0°C
During an extended absence from a room, it is recommended to lower the temperature 🌡️ by 2 to 3 degrees to avoid unnecessary heating.
The temperatures are preset on the heating device through its interface, according to the different modes.
How to establish a schedule on paper: Full integration method
Establishing a schedule for heating devices:

Monday through Friday: At night, the bedroom is heated for optimal comfort. In the morning, before waking up, the bathroom is heated. Then, the bedroom cools down while the living room heats up to be comfortable before leaving for work. During the day, the temperature remains stable but reduced to prevent the room from becoming cold. At the end of the day, the living room is heated for a comfortable return home. In the evening, the bedroom heats up again and the living room cools down for a good night's sleep. The radiator schedules are shown, with the periods when temperatures are high displayed in red, making it easier to visualize the active heating periods:

Using the schedule for each radiator, we can create an overall schedule for the home 🏠. First, you need to know the status of each radiator at midnight, then note each time when a status change (on, off, or temperature change) occurs throughout the day. This gives you a precise operating schedule for the radiators in the home 🏠. Accordingly, based on this schedule, the following commands will be applied to the heating systems in the different rooms of the home 🏠:

Saturday and Sunday: At night, the bedroom heating maintains a comfortable temperature. In the morning, it decreases slightly, while the living room radiator heats throughout the day to ensure comfort. At 7:00 PM, the bathroom heating turns on for one hour. In the evening, the bedroom warms up before the living room turns off. The radiator schedules are shown, with the periods when temperatures are high displayed in red, making it easier to visualize the active heating periods:

| Great. Now that the radiator schedules 🕰️ for each room in the home 🏠 have been defined and we have adapted our different modes, we need to program these settings in the Enki app 📅 |
How to transfer this schedule to the app:
The schedule that will be created will be based on the one previously established on paper. The elements of this schedule will then be entered into the app. Click the desired section below to display the explanations provided as an example.
01 – Reminder
|
As a reminder, the system includes three default modes:
These modes are essential for proper operation and cannot be deleted. However, you can customize them: change their name, choose the devices they activate, and adjust the associated rules according to your needs. |
02 – Create the different modes
Since we know the six modes to create, let’s start by creating all of them so that we have the modes needed to create the schedule.
|
01 - Let’s start by modifying mode no. 1 (M1), "Night". Click the mode name to edit it. You can then:
|
02 - Adjust the "Night" mode. Adjust the mode using the "Comfort -2" buttons according to the schedule:
Confirm by clicking "✓" in the upper-right corner (or "Save" at the bottom on Android). |
|
03 - To create the new mode no. 2 (M2), follow these steps:
The add page provides the following options:
|
04 - Let’s create our "Morning - Heat bathroom" mode for a clear name. Adjust the mode using the "Comfort" buttons according to the schedule:
Confirm by clicking "✓" on iOS or "Save" on Android to save your new mode. |
|
05 - Let’s create the new mode no. 3 (M3). To do this, follow these steps:
The add page provides the following options:
|
06 - Let’s create the "Bathroom + Living room" mode to heat these two rooms. Adjust the mode using the "Comfort" buttons according to the schedule:
Confirm by clicking "✓" on iOS or "Save" on Android to save your new mode. |
|
07 - The next mode no. 4 (M4) will heat only the living room, used when someone is present in the living area. We will therefore modify the "Present" mode, the main mode for being present at home. Click the mode name to edit it. You can then:
|
08 - Adjust the "Present" mode. Adjust the mode using the "Comfort" buttons according to the schedule:
Confirm by clicking "✓" in the upper-right corner (or "Save" at the bottom on Android). |
|
09 - The next mode no. 5 (M5) is intended for when no one is home. It will set all heating devices to the lowest temperature. We will therefore modify the "Away" mode, the main mode for being away from home. Click the mode name to edit it. You can then:
|
10 - Adjust the "Away" mode. The three rooms are already set to “Eco”: no changes are needed.
Confirm by clicking "✓" on iOS or "Save" on Android to save your new mode. |
|
11 - Let’s create the new mode no. 6 (M6). To do this, follow these steps:
The add page provides the following options:

Our organization for Saturday is now finalized. As we mentioned at the beginning, here are the details we planned for this day:
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
08 – Copying Saturday to Sunday
|
Saturday's schedule must also be applied to Sunday. To do this, duplicate it for Sunday:
This function makes it easier to duplicate a day's schedule to other days. You can copy your day only to this 7-day schedule, not to other schedules. |
09 – Saving the schedule
The schedule is complete; simply save it to apply it to your heaters.
|
31 - To save your schedule:
|
10 – Activating the schedule
|
32 - To activate your newly created schedule, you must:
|
What you need to know about schedules:
How many setpoint changes are allowed per day?
You can integrate up to 20 time slots per day.
|
When editing your schedule, you can exceed 20 time slots, but when saving, an error message appears:
You must therefore reduce the number to a maximum of 20 time slots per day in order to save. |
How do I delete a schedule?
Delete it from its edit screen.
|
01 - In the Heating menu, click the settings " 02 - Select the schedule to delete. 03 - Scroll down, click "Delete" and confirm again by clicking "Delete". The schedule will be deleted and you will return to the modes and schedules. |
|
An active schedule cannot be deleted. The following message is displayed:
To delete it, switch to another schedule or move it to another mode. |
Can I give multiple schedules the same name?
No, each schedule must have a unique name.
What temperatures are recommended?
In a home:
- Living room: 20.0 °C
- Bedroom: 18.0 °C
- Bathroom: 23.0 °C
It is recommended to lower the temperature by 2 to 3 °C in an unoccupied room.
Why can't the “Default” schedule be deleted?
A schedule is required. “Default” cannot be deleted or renamed, but its times and setpoints can be modified.
How can I tell if my device is following a schedule?
Use the following methods:
|
From your device's control page: Check the control type and make sure schedule mode is enabled. |
Through the heating menu: Check the status of your devices: schedule, manual, frost protection, off, or individual. |
Can I add a schedule to my favorites ?
No, schedules do not have a favorites system.
Are new heaters added to the schedule?
Yes, they are present but disabled by default in all available modes. For each mode, enable them and configure their setpoint.
Can I create multiple away modes with different temperatures?
Yes. Each mode must have a different name and can use a different temperature.
Why doesn't my radiator turn off?
Some heaters cannot be completely turned off. They then switch to the minimum temperature or frost protection mode.
How long does schedule synchronization take for heaters with built-in schedule capabilities?
It can take up to 15 minutes depending on the number of modes and devices involved. The more complex the schedule, the longer synchronization takes.
Can I copy a day's configuration to another schedule?
No. You must recreate it manually in the other schedule.
How do I change schedules?
In the schedule control type, tap "⁝" on the “Current schedule” tile, then tap “Change schedule.” Select the desired schedule, then tap "✓" in the upper-right corner (iOS) or "Save" at the bottom of the screen (Android).
Why does one of my radiators, configured to remain under individual control, automatically switch to “At home” control mode and follow the collective schedule's setpoints instead of its individual schedule?
Even if its control type is set to “Individual control,” if it is included in one of the modes, it will automatically switch to “At home” control mode when that mode is applied. Please check that your heating device, which should be individually controlled, is excluded from all existing modes. When it is excluded, its slider appears gray
in the relevant mode.
