-
Can I restart my Wi-Fi device remotely?
No, it is not possible to restart your Wi-Fi device remotely.
-
My Wi-Fi device’s Bluetooth does not appear in my phone’s Bluetooth device list, is this normal?
Yes, this is completely normal. The Bluetooth of this type of device is configured to be invisible because it is intended for a temporary connection via the app to transmit information. That’s why it does not appear in the list of detectable devices.
-
Can I place my Wi-Fi device in a confined space?
No, it is important not to place your Wi-Fi device in a confined space or close to an object emitting wireless radio waves (internet box, TV, microwave, etc.), as this may disrupt communications and make its use unstable.
-
Can I associate multiple Wi-Fi devices to my account?
Yes, you can associate as many Wi-Fi devices as you want to your account, whether within the same home or across multiple homes.
-
Can I connect my Wi-Fi device to a Wi-Fi repeater?
Yes, this is possible. However, it is not recommended because Wi-Fi repeaters can sometimes have a less than optimal connection. Moreover, it is very important that your repeater’s SSID is different from your internet box’s SSID. If the SSID is the same, it can cause frequent and random disconnections because your Wi-Fi device might switch between connection point A (the internet box) and connection point B (the repeater), and vice versa.
-
The Enki app asks for access to location services. Should I allow it?
Yes, it is very important to enable location services so the app can properly detect the networks around you.
-
On my iPhone, do I need to enable local network access in my iPhone settings?
Yes, local network access settings must be enabled because this setting allows the phone to communicate via Wi-Fi with another device. Without this enabled, the phone cannot exchange information with the Wi-Fi device when it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
-
On my iPhone, do I need to enable local network access in my iPhone settings?
Is it possible to change the action triggered when clicking the icon of my device on the "Home" screen?
No, this action is predefined and cannot be customized at this level.
Can I change the type of status feedback shown on my device’s tile on the "Home" screen?
No, this information is fixed by our developers. It is the information most frequently consulted by our users and therefore displayed.
Why does my device’s status feedback no longer appear on its tile on the "Home" screen after some time?
The status feedback displayed on the home page is kept for seven days. If the device does not change its state during this period, its status feedback will be removed and no status will be shown afterward. The device is then considered inactive or disconnected. To restore the status display, the device must change state and transmit this information to the platform.
-
A red exclamation mark appears on my device’s tile on the "Home" screen. What does it mean?
This indicates the device is offline and can no longer connect to the platform. It is recommended first to power cycle your device. If the problem persists, please restart your internet box to try to restore the connection.
If I control my device directly via its button or remote control, is the status feedback updated in the app?
Yes, as soon as an event changes the device’s state (pressing the device button, power cut and restoration, command via its dedicated remote, etc.), the device sends its state to the platform, which updates it both on the "Home" page and on the device control page.
If I physically turn off my device (for example, a wall switch), can I turn it back on via the app?
No, if you cut the device’s physical power supply, such as with a wall switch or power strip, the device will no longer be powered. Consequently, it will not stay connected and cannot respond to commands sent from the app. The device must remain continuously powered to be controlled remotely.
-
Can I include my group in a scenario?
No. The group can only be used directly via the "Home" menu of your Enki app.
-
Can I control my group by voice?
No, groups are not compatible with voice assistants; you can only control devices individually. However, you can create a group of devices directly in your voice assistant’s app to control your devices collectively by voice command.
-
Can I schedule my group of devices?
It depends on the group concerned. Depending on the group, a scheduling function may be offered on the control page. Please check this page to verify the presence of the “Schedules” tile.
-
Can I rename a group?
Yes, you can rename a group via the settings page of your group by clicking on “Name.”
-
Is it possible to add or remove devices once the group is already created?
Yes, you can add or remove devices within a group by accessing the settings page of your group, via the device list.
-
Can I delete a group without deleting my devices?
Yes, deleting a group does not delete the devices. Only group control access is removed. Your devices remain present and can still be controlled individually.
-
How do I make my devices visible or invisible when my group is created?
You need to go to the settings page of your group and use the “Hide devices” toggle to choose whether devices should be hidden or not. There are also other methods to perform this operation.
|
Another method to show or hide your invisible devices:
|
-
My devices are invisible. What happens if I delete my group?
Deleting your group will remove it from your "Home" screen, and devices that were invisible due to their association with this group will become visible again.
-
What is the maximum number of devices I can include in a group?
There is no limit to the number of devices that can be included in a group. However, depending on your environment, the more devices you control simultaneously, the more the signal may be disrupted. The environment remains an important factor in individual control, and even more so in group control.
-
Does the group work if my Enki box is offline?
If the devices in your group are connected via Wi-Fi, they will continue to work. However, devices linked to your Enki box will no longer be controllable.
-
Can I create a group including devices of different types (e.g., shutters and lights)?
Yes and no. You can combine lights and smart plugs, or shutters, gates, and garages, as these belong to the same creation category. However, you cannot mix bulbs and shutters, for example.
-
Why does a device in my group no longer respond?
If a device no longer responds, it means either the signal is not reaching it, or the device is unreachable. Try individual control to verify its operation. If individual control works, the signal may be degraded during group control due to your environment and the number of devices controlled, as the more devices you control simultaneously, the more likely the signal is disrupted. If individual control fails, please check the device (power, connection, etc.).
-
Can I duplicate a group to create a similar one?
No, you can create as many groups as you want, but duplication or copy-pasting of a group is not supported. You can manually create a similar group.
-
I have different devices with different capabilities (e.g., an RGB bulb and a simple plug) in a group. How does the group behave?
The page displayed for your group corresponds to the highest capability. In this example, the RGB bulb has the most advanced capability, so all its options will be available, unlike the plug which only offers on/off functions. However, when you execute commands not supported by the plug, it will not respond.
Is it mandatory to set an end time for my schedule?
No, setting an end time for the schedule is optional. You can choose to schedule only a start if you want your device to switch to a particular state at a specific time.
Can I create multiple schedules?
Yes, you can create multiple schedules. To create a new schedule when you already have some, please follow the instructions below:
|
Two options are available depending on your phone type, whether Android or iOS:
|
Is it possible to split my schedule into two separate schedules?
Yes, it is entirely possible to split your schedule into two parts. To do this, delete the end of the current schedule, then create a new schedule specifying only a start, along with the time and state intended for the end of the other schedule.
Is there a limit to the number of schedules I can create for my device?
No, there is no limit to the number of schedules per device; you can create as many as you want.
What practices should be avoided when scheduling?
It is essential to avoid overlapping times between your schedules, especially when they have defined durations. Always allow at least a one-minute gap between consecutive schedules. It is also recommended to check your devices' states and set your device to different states at the start and end of each schedule.
-
How do I disable my schedule without deleting it?
It is possible to disable a schedule without deleting it. Please follow the instructions below:
Android: iOS: Next to your schedule on Android, or by opening your schedule on iOS, you will find a toggle switch. This toggle is designed to be clicked to switch between different states. Its operation is simple: by clicking it, you can activate or deactivate the schedule as needed. This feature lets you easily control whether your schedule is running or not.
When the toggle is in this state, it means your schedule is enabled. In other words, all programmed instructions or tasks are running normally. You can be assured your system is working according to your defined settings.
Conversely, when the toggle is in this other state, it means your schedule is disabled. In this case, none of the programmed tasks will run until you reactivate the toggle. This option is especially useful if you want to temporarily pause the schedule without deleting it. I just created a schedule, but I am already within the scheduled time frame and it does not start. Why?
It is important to note that the schedule only starts at the exact scheduled time. If that time has passed, even if you are still within the defined time window, the schedule will not start. For example, if it is 2:05 PM and you create a schedule for your device to be in a particular state between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, it will not start because the start time, 2:00 PM, has already passed. The schedule only starts at the precise time of 2:00 PM.
I configured a schedule, and after the start time passed, once the end time passed, my device’s state did not change. Why?
If the start time has already passed, it means the schedule has not started yet. Therefore, if it has not started, it cannot stop, which explains why at the end time your device did not switch to the expected state. The end function only works if the start has actually begun.
My device is already in the state configured for the schedule start. Will it be set to the expected state at the end of the schedule?
Yes, once the schedule has started, regardless of your device’s initial state, it will be set to the state defined for the schedule start, even if that state is the same. Moreover, since the schedule start is triggered, the end phase will also be executed. Therefore, your device will be correctly set to the expected state at the end of the schedule. (Note this excludes temporary overrides, which take precedence over scheduling.)
If I change my device’s state during the schedule, will it still adopt the state planned at the end of the schedule?
Yes, once the schedule has started, whatever state changes you make, the selected state will be applied at the end of the schedule. (Note this excludes temporary overrides, which take precedence over scheduling.)
My device is offline, unresponsive, or out of range at the beginning or end of the schedule, but reconnects later. Will it be set to the expected state?
No, if your device is offline, it does not receive the information. The sent information is a one-time data point; the device must be online at that exact moment. If it is not, the data is lost and will not be retransmitted. Therefore, when the device is offline, unresponsive, or out of range, its state will not be changed.
Is it possible to use schedules simultaneously with other features such as scenarios or heating plans?
It is strongly discouraged to use schedules in parallel with heating plans if your device supports this feature. This could cause conflicts between plans and schedules. However, using schedules and scenarios simultaneously is possible, provided you carefully ensure the times defined in scenarios do not conflict with those of schedules.
Is the execution time based on my phone’s time?
No, it is determined by the platform’s time according to the country you selected when creating your home. For example, if you chose France as the country during setup, the time will be Paris time.
Can I start multiple actions with a timer?
No, timers are designed to execute a single action after the delay you set.
Is it possible to run multiple timers simultaneously on the same device?
No, only one timer per device can run at a time. To start another, you must either stop the current timer or wait for it to finish.
Can a timer run on multiple devices simultaneously?
No, the timer is specific to a given device. Therefore, it is only accessible from that device’s control page, and only that device is affected by the timer.
Is it possible to have multiple devices on timers simultaneously?
Yes, all devices compatible with a timer can be activated individually. You must configure each timer from the control page for each device.
-
Why are not all functions of my device available in the timer?
The timer only allows executing the main and basic functions of devices. Complex commands for the same device are not supported by the timer.
-
How do I stop an active timer?
To stop your timer, please follow the steps below.
| Android: | iOS: |
|
|
-
Can I change the duration of my running timer?
No, you must stop the timer before reconfiguring it.
-
Can both functionalities of my device be activated simultaneously?

-
What is the minimum accepted delay for a timer?
The timer must be at least five seconds.
Android: iOS: How many wait delays can I include in my scenario?
You can include up to five delays maximum in a scenario.
What is the maximum time that can be applied for a wait delay?
On Android, the interface allows entering a full delay up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. On iOS, selection is by scrolling, with seconds in five-second intervals, so the maximum is 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 55 seconds.
-
How do actions proceed?
Actions execute in the order you defined, from top to bottom in the list.
You can change this order by clicking "↑↓" or "Move" next to the "Action" section.Android: iOS: My device does not appear in the list of device states in triggers, why?
Not all devices are eligible to trigger a scenario. If your device does not appear in the list, it is not eligible. You can verify this in the product feature table in Enki, on the Inspire fans product sheets.
My device does not appear in the list of device states in conditions, why?

My device does not appear in the list of device states in actions, why?
Not all devices are eligible to perform an action in a scenario. If your device does not appear in the list, it is not eligible. You can verify this in the product feature table in Enki, on the Inspire fans product sheets.
I use a value to trigger my scenario, but sometimes it does not execute even though the value matches. Why?
The trigger works like a threshold. The scenario only executes when the value crosses this threshold. If the value is already within the defined range, the scenario will not trigger again. Example: Suppose three values: A, B, and C. The scenario should execute when the value is greater than B, so at C. If the value is already C, the scenario will not execute. But if the value goes from A to B, then exceeds B to reach C, the scenario will execute because the threshold is crossed.
